Shapewear for Women - High-Waisted Shapewear Tummy Control Shorts, Thigh Slimmer, Underwear for Women

I wanted to post an initial review in case anyone like me has events this weekend and is considering buying this. TL; Dr: these shaper shorts are great if you're looking for light compression/support and some smoothing. As a tall plus size woman (5'11", 310lbs, 50-46-56, usually wear a 3x/4x), this item suits my needs to look a bit smoother under clingy dresses, prevent thigh chafing, and provide some abdominal compression for POTS symptoms relief. I have my highschool reunion this weekend and will be wearing a bodycon dress, so I wanted some shaper shorts that would smooth me out a bit without being uncomfortable. The mixed reviews on this item scared me a bit, but so far I'm glad I took a chance. I've been wearing them to work the past couple of days to test them out in case I needed to switch sizes or to another brand. These shaper shorts are surprisingly comfortable for having a decent amount of light-modedate compression. While I'm tall, I'm also quite short-waisted with a long hip/pelvis, and carry most of my weight in my stomach, butt, and upper thighs. The waistband comes all the way up to my bra line, but so far has not rolled down thanks to the fabric quality and small stays strategically placed. The legs are also a great length to not roll on my thick thighs - I'm easily able to adjust them higher or lower depending on the length of my skirt. The fabric is fairly breathable and soft, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Other than the very top of the waistband, I can't feel them on after a bit. I'm glad I went with the 4x instead of the 3x. My measurements were on the low end of the 4x, and I decided to opt for comfort over stronger compression. The shorts are quite stretchy, and I imagine someone several inches bigger than me could comfortably wear them. The shorts washed fine in a laundry bag on delicate cycle and didn't shrink too much. I can't speak to their long-term durability and performance, but I will update this review after my events with pictures and final thoughts. Overall, I definitely can recommend these to others looking for similar qualities in shaper shorts. I hope this review helps other tall plus size women as I know how hard it is to find comfortable, flattering clothing for us.

I have struggled trying to find my correct size in clothing and figured out I’m more of a 18-20. Mostly 20. I finally invested in a couple of dresses and thought I could use some shape wear. I decided on this one as it was light and went up to the bra line. Well I had the opportunity to wear it them yesterday (last time I wore shapewear was well over 20 years ago and it wasn’t comfortable). Well this did a great job. It felt good with coming up to my bra line and stayed! It didn’t bunch or roll down and the legs stayed as well. It was easy to take down for potty breaks and easy to get back up. Even on a very hot day! I bought the xxl and it was just enough to flatter and shape without needing to adjust it and fix any roll downs or ups. Some may want a bit thicker fabric and support but for a very hot summer day these were comfortable and made a nice line for a dress. Still trying to figure out how to dress a plus size body. I then changed for and evening get together and put on a pair of trousers and kept them on. Again comfortable and no rolls. These are great!

I bought this for post-op compression and wore it once for a couple hours, for that I do not recommend it, as there are (4) 1” pieces of flex-boning at the very top to keep the garment from rolling down, just beneath the elastic that d/t my surgery made it impossible to wear. So why the 4 stars? Well, because when worn as intended, this is superior to every other shapewear garment I have ever tried. Its composition of fabrics makes on/off glide over skin easily without having to break a sweat. I suggest rolling the top, skid up over bum/hips and adjust for comfort at thighs. It holds everything in, feels comfortable. No split in crotch for bathroom which, given high waist might make gowns/garment difficult to get on/off for some. That’s the only reason for -1 star and I’d still chose this over any other body shaper. Can’t tell you how many times my nails have poked through the other brands. That’s not happening w/this one. Might be a tad warm for some.

Only wore these twice. I bought them a little bigger cause I don’t like how tight some brands are and how they roll up my legs. I washed them when I got them, wore them for about 5 hours, put them in the wash, the 2nd time wearing them I noticed they had a hole in the seem of the butt area and had a big run in the back leading to the hole! WTH??? I was loving these until I discovered the run and hole! I mean it won’t be so bad if I had them more than 6 months but I have ONLY had them for less than a month! I will say they are wayyy more comfortable than other brands for-sure!

This really works. I’ve tried several in the past and this was the best one. Really works as promised and it’s very comfortable. I can move around freely and without feeling uncomfortable and not afraid to sit or stand. It smooths everything out and stays put. Really happy with the results

The quality is good, the fit is good but if you are looking for something to pull in your bulges I wouldn’t recommend. That’s not what I was looking for so I don’t have any complaints

LOVE this item. I had surgery for breast cancer and had to wear an abdominal binder and this was amazing. I’ve tried a lot of different ones, this one is supportive in all the right places. I got an extra large, sometimes I wear an xxl or xl but XL worked perfect for this because I needed the compression. Definitely recommend this one. The legs sometimes are too tight but this is perfect. It also doesn’t roll down at the top either

I think the quality of this product lives up to the product name. It is well made and a nice neutral color. It smooths out the rolls but its not like all of the rolls just disappear. Other than jumping a bit to try it on the fit wasn't bad. Sadly, the dress I bought it for didn't work out and I realized that there is no way I could pull the back side of the shaper up all of the way if I was alone in a women's restroom. Purchased the 2XL. I'm 5'4" so the backside can go all of the way up to my bra band.

I love how these don't roll down. I was worried about the material that helps keep it in place, as I have had bad reactions to it. But I can wear this all day, and it was fine. I have been wearing these almost daily since I brought them.

After reading some of the reviews from a couple of years back, I was hesitant to order these... even though I've been wanting a pair of them for quite some time. But the more recent positive reviews made me think the product had improved. And given the details they included, along with photos, they seemed quite legit to me. So I went ahead and ordered them—taking into consideration the strong recommendation to buy a size smaller—and am so happy I did. They arrived several hours ago (I ordered them last night), and I've only just had time to try them on now. I started this review about half an hour ago and have been pulled away several times, so now I can say in confidence that they were not only comfortable when I first put them on, but after sitting and standing multiple times, they are still comfortable AND neither the top rolled down nor did the bottoms roll up. I can't tell you how happy this makes me as this has been an issue in the past shortly after putting on other brands of clothing from girdles to thigh-highs. I have sensitive skin, including eczema, and usually if something is going to bother me, it happens almost immediately... at least within the first half hour. So far, no itchiness or other discomfort. I'd like to share photos, but silly me forgot to take a before pic... so I'll try to add them later. Suffice it to say, these have helped me achieve the desired goal of holding in my lower belly. I'm in my early 60's and had lost 70 lbs pre-covid then gained 100 of it back post-covid. I'm working my way back down and am currently somewhere just under 260 lbs (I have to wait for weigh-in Wednesday for the next accurate weight). As I age and lose weight, the elasticity of my belly is taking longer to kick into place and the extra skin kinda folds down, so this was my #1 reason for wanting these shaper shorts. I'm 5'4" and have thicker legs from having been somewhat athletic in my younger years (sports, used to teach dance, avid walker, etc.) and a short midriff, with a pronounced S-curve in my spine. I also suffer from back pain from a vehicle accident some years back. Suffice it to say, clothing tends to fit me rather awkwardly. But so far, these Shapermint Shaper Shorts (love the alliteration) are feeling very comfortable and snug, as if they were made for me. I should also mention that I had to have hubby help me put these on for the very first time; but I think I'll be fine to put them on solo from here. I sure hope so, because frequent bathroom breaks are my life these days. Also, I checked these shorts thoroughly when I opened the package, and had my husband do the same, just in case I missed something. They are flawless, great design and good quality. The price was never a deterrent (even though I live on a fixed income), because I adhere to the old adage, "You get what you pay for"—and these shorts were worth every penny. I guess how long they last will depend on how often I wear them, but at this point, I think I'll be ordering another pair. These are black, I think I'll go for the beige ones next. These might not work for everyone, but they worked for me... and I seriously do *not* have the best of luck when it comes to clothing. Just remember, if you're looking for a bit of support, order a size smaller. I'm currently a XXXXL but ordered XXXL. It's certainly not making me look any thinner, but that's not what I was going for... I just wanted a smoother appearance when I wear my beloved leggings out of the house.
