My oil came in a glass bottle so not quite the same product I am reviewing.The oil is amazing. I've put it on cuts and sores that healed and reduced in days. It's great for nails and hair and you only need a very tiny bit, directly applied.It's quite a heavy oil, but I combine a little bit with almond oil which is lighter, and it makes a very effective moisturiser for face and body, leaving the skin feeling soft and nourished.I suffer from excema and have had no irritations, only soothing effects.I would highly recommend and will be buying again, but if the product only comes in a plastic bottle from now on I might be tempted to shop elsewhere.The oil itself is a little touch of magic.

I have brought this product for the purposes of hair growth. I have heard great reviews about Jamaican black castor oil so thought I would give it a go myself! I have experienced a lot of hair fall lately which has resulted in thin hair mainly on the sides & crown of the head & affected the hairline. I am not that old! (25 years of age) so believe the hair loss is due to stress & probably genetics also :( but need something to grow out the sparse areas & small bald spots. The oil smells great & is thick in consistency - would recommend mixing this with a carrier oil before putting onto the hair as I have made a mistake by putting this alone but it was too thick for my thin strands of hair which resulted in unnecessary hair fall. I will update the review in 3 months to show if it helped for the purpose I have brought it for. Overall I am happy with the product!

Amazing oil for fine and frizz hair, it thicken the hair very quickly. I try many different type of Jamaican black castor oil but only this one give good result in less than two weeks.I haven't been using it long enough to notice any growth but my hair is definitely thicker. I highly recommend.

I like the fact that this product is fairly gentle on my scalp compared to other black castor oils I have used, it is not very dark so makes me question how much black castor oil is actually present and whether or not it has been combined with other oils. Not as thick as I am used to, however, for me that is a positive and perhaps the mildness in comparison to other brands I have tried works for me, as it is less sensitive on my scalp than other brands have been. I am going to buy it again and would certainly recommend this brand because it seems to be kinder to the scalp. I think in terms of what is paid, you should get more castor oil. However, it may well come down to how effective it is so watch this space.

I have previously bought JBCO from another supplier and was quite happy with using it on my 3yr old daughters hair. I felt it made her hair stronger and prevented hair breakage. There was never any excessive hair in comb whilst being groomed. I used it mainly on her scalp and to seal her ends.When I needed to replace the JBCO I immediately decided to order from Amazon. I couldn't find the brand I last used so decided to purchase this brand instead. When I read the bottle it warned to seek advice if using on infants/children.I have no idea why advice needs to be sought, so I have not use it on her hair.I guess I will need to research now if any brand of JBCO is safe to use on children's hair, before purchasing any more. I of course have continued to use it on my hair and skin.

I purchased this for my granddaughters hair but they didnt like the smell so use it myself. . I suffer from regular coldsores and believe it or not it stopped them from the very first tingle. Had a really bad one at the time of purchase so tried this (dabbed it on with a cotton bud) and it cleared up so quickly. Love it for this reason alone so worth a try , very good for thicker eyelashes, skin conditioner . I use it as a cleanser for my face and neck too.

So good, I bought another bottle.I bought this to improve my damaged edges which were weakened from braids and burnt off from chemical straight perms. My edges reminded me of what happens when you salt the earth. I had dry flakes and painful scars and no hair would grow. I was so embarrassed and upset that I could not show my once thick healthy hairline and especially when I referred to pictures of what it used to look like.I've always seen jbco advertised in magazines but dismissed it as a fad. Boy was I wrong! After just over a month of use, the hair is growing back so much, I don't even hide it. I was consistent with use but never obsessed about it.Jbco really encouraged my hair growth and I would recommend it.

This is really a miracle oil. Using it just from one week and I really cant beleive the positive effect on my baldness on the top of my head. I could see around 30% growth in just 7 days. Because of this product, I no longer use Minoxidil or Latisse!!! A MUST-buy for your hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes! Yes, Eyelashes!! This gem of an oil is our #1 best kept beauty secret ladies! (And gentlemen, of course) Let me tell you the 3 major ways this oil has changed my life.1) Hair: Female hairloss is a family trait that I have been blessed with. I have very fine hair to begin with, and it started thinning in my late 20's. I used Minoxidil for the last 2 years to help with this. It's very expensive for daily use and really trashes the exisiting hair you have, especially if it's longer. It did not help me to regrow any hair, but it did stop more from falling out. About 2 months ago I learned about this product and immidiately noticed a difference. Withing a couple of weeks my hair was fuller, and I had regrowth! I'm talking about new hair, growing fast, and the condition of the length of my hair improved so much! At bedtime, I use an eyedropper and massage a few drops into my scalp every night. It's amazing!2) Eyebrows: In my teens I tweezed my eyebrows to practically nothing. Then when I decided to grow them out in my 20's they grew back patchy and I still had to draw and fill them in. My eyelashes are fuller, softer, longer, conditioned, and don't fall out anymore. I use a spoolie brush, but Q-tips or an old clean mascara wand will do just as good. I apply it to my top and bottom lashes very close to the lash line every night before bed, and also on my top lashes before applying make-up in the morning.This is such an easy thing to add to your daily regimen, and is so much cheaper than buying all of the other products I formerly used.
