Tetra APS400 Silent Aquarium Air Pump for 250 - 600 Litre Fish Tanks, Black ( Packaging May Vary )

I have always used these air pumps for my aquariums. Not silent but very quiet

Powerful pump i have 260l tank and this has no problems with air stone,bubble wall etc,spot on.

Was not as silent as I had expected, I actually bought this to replace a much cheaper twin outlet air pump worth only £12 I have been running for the best part of 5 months straight, which I thought was probably a bit noisy compared to say something in this price bracket. It turns out that I was wrong, while this is a good pump and produces a great stream of bubbles through anything, air stone, air tubing ect. It's just not as quiet as I thought it was going to be based on the other reviews I had seen here. I would say great pump, but just that price point is a little too much, in aquatic retailers this pump is priced the vast majority of the time over the £30 mark, which even after Amazons good price for £25, it's probably still a little too much, considering the performance isint far away from the lesser known brand one I've used previously that only cost £12 brand new.

This pump is quite large, and weighs almost a kilo, it's effective, efficient and the quietest air pump I've owned. My last one a Boyu, was at least 4 times louder. All round excellent quality air pump.

The Tetra APS 400 is advertised as silent and I was dubious before buying it as many people say there is no such thing as a silent air pump. My old air pump sounded like an extremely loud generator and as the aquuarium is in the front room I used to have the tv turned up very loud! However, once the Tetra arrived & was set up I plugged in & it was so quiet I actually thought it wasn't working! My only problem is that it only as 2 outlets as I require 4, but that is easily solved by purchasing a 2 way valve for each outlet. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and can confirm that it really is silent!

this product arrived swiftly and i am very impressed with it. Its not as quiet as i had imagined but is quieter than my last less powerful pump. If its not level it can be a little noiser than would be acceptable but thats easy to solve isnt it!!!!! Great little product for the price.

Not per description. Very noisy

Came with no adapter to Australian type of power point. Be aware. Had to order an adapter. Still waiting...
