Β The most important thing for me is how easy it is to clean them and how well they keep their shapes after many uses. This set of brushes arrived super quickly and well packaged, each brush individually sealed and tips protected by plastic tubes.I also like the range of sizes, which covers all numbers I usually use - from large 11 for washes to No1 for the finest details. The round pointy shape is perfect for watercolours and can cope with inks and acrylics for silk painting. The brushes absorb paint very well and release it evenly. The large brushes can cover quite large areas without need to refill frequently the paint, which is especially important for the silk painting.The wooden handles are beautifully finished, very well balanced and pleasant to hold. I'm definitely going to purchase the set again soon, as I feel that I need the second for travel.P.S: My lovely art tutor gave a video review for these brushes which is very insightful that I'd love to share with you. This is my second set I bough from ZenArt Supplies and I am very impressed with both of them. I initially used the Artist's Choice brushes for oils which is my preferred medium, but after such success with the badger mix brushes, I decided to give a go with their squirrel mix Black velvet brushes, too. I use them for the watercolour and ink sketches, and they are superb. Their liquid holding and releasing ability is similar to the natural squirrel and high quality synthetic hairs adds a slight spring, which I like. The round shape is truly versatile and considering the range of sizes I easily use this set from washes to the finest details. I liked the packaging of the set, and the fact that each brush came individually wrapped and with plastic tube to protect the pointy tips. The handles are short and just right for watercolours, and beautifully hand-finished with some sort of a pearl-matte paint. A couple of weeks later I searched again and these were here. I risked my money on the set but I'm so happy I did because my search for watercolour brushes has ended. These are a pleasure to use and hold so much water or paint you don't have to reload the brush as often, the point stays pointy . I'm housebound and it's impossible to tell what a brush is like from a picture or the reviews but I'm happy I spent my money on these and have recommended them to a few friends who have tried mine and they love them too. My search for a good watercolour brush is over.
