What is a spring-assisted knife?

Also known as an assisted-opening knife, this popular design uses a built-in spring mechanism to open the blade when pressure is applied to the thumb stud or finger flipper.

How does the liner lock work?

The liner lock is a piece of metal located inside the two handle scales and below the bottom of the blade. When the blade is deployed, the liner lock engages, blocking the blade so it cannot be closed until the user disengages it.

How do I close the locked blade?

To disengage the liner lock, push the metal tab to the left and hold it in that position as you carefully ease the blade back into the handle.
