I wear a 42 pant and got XL for 40-42. The waist is especially tight right out of the box - can't imagine squeezing in after a few washes. The main material (not the band) feels great and is very stretchy. I would love to have these in XXL they don't offer, but since I can't wear advertised sizing, the rating gets dinged...
