Does not taste like pandan leaves
I recently purchased this item claiming to be Pandan leaves. After trying it I can say that it did not taste in the least like Pandan leaves. It is completely devoid of the subtle vanilla-like aroma, and does not have any nice fragrant smell to it. It has a strong grass smell. I soaked a few leaves in warm water and the taste is not pleasant either. In fact it had a very grassy, bitter taste. On top of that, this item cannot be returned. I am very disappointed with these "Pandan leaves" and I will not buy from this company again. I do not recommend this product....save your money and buy some other brand.

Boite a full bag and can't smell any Lanka

Good if you can't find fresh
I wanted to make Hainanese Chicken Rice, and like to add pandan leaves to it. However it's hard to find the fresh ingredient over here so I settled with the dry version. It got close to fresh but of course it's not exactly the same, but came out delicious all the same with it's fragrance. For a substitute it works very well and will have a long shelf life.

I thought it would be delicious.
I was attracted to this hearing of the benefits and the sweet vanilla smell. The herb I received I've only tried once, but there was no sweet vanilla smell. I haven't tried it again so I cannot comment on whether there are benefits.
