Works awesome . Great value and sturdy ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lightweight and easy to install *by F***X on Reviewed in the United States on 14 January 2024* I cut a door in a shipping container (see pic) and used this awning to keep the rain away. I gave the product a five start review because of the low price, its ease of installation and being lightweight, it's easy to install. I installed the awning myself, with no help whatsoever, although a second pair of hands would've come handy.I basically put the awning together on the ground and used bungie cords to keep it together. After installing and tightening all the screws, I tied two ropes at both ends of the awning to lift it in place. Once in place, I drilled the holes through the wall and used bolts, nuts and washers to secure the awning to the wall.Note that you must attach one awning bracket to the wall at a time to make sure everything aligns properly. You can either first attach one corner bracket and then the center bracket before attaching the last remaining bracket. Or you can first attach the center bracket and then the two corner brackets.Because of the shipping container structural design, there was a 1/2 inch gap at the top, between the awning and the shipping container wall. I used roofing tape to seal the gap. It worked well to prevent leaks and it's almost invisible from the ground.I must say that although the awning itself feels flinzy before installation, it feels very sturdy once it's attached to the wall. Don't know how long it'll last but I'm very satisfy with the purchase. ## Frequently Bought Together - 116 inch / 78 inch / 39 inch Window Awning Outdoor Polycarbonate Hollow Sheet Door Patio Canopy (Silver Canopy + Black Bracket, 40''x 40'') - Outvita Window Awnings for Doors Canopy 40''x40'', Polycarbonate Cover Front Door Outdoor Patio Awning Canopy UV Rain Snow Sunlight Protection Hollow Sheet, Brown Board & Black Bracket, AL-YP-0338 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/499966116-nollapo-116-inch-78-inch-39-inch-window-awning-outdoor](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/499966116-nollapo-116-inch-78-inch-39-inch-window-awning-outdoor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
