Im not sure i would wash it. BUT i think its better quality than some walmart costume. I LOVE this brand and the fact that my childs imagination doesnt have to stop at a uoung age. Melissa and Doug dont make costumes this big. My son fits in a size 8 just perfect. I think i would compare this to a size 10. It fits him well and will last a bit.
