Hi it does ease the discomfort but doesnt really reduce the length of time the sores take to heal. If you suffer with regular flare ups then its worth seeing a specialist who can prescribe a specially mixed paste to treat the sores and to ease the pain.

I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s for inside your mouth. It might be too much for the thin skin on your lips.
