Review: Easy and efficient rod repair motor. - Im no problem but would consider myself a frugal diy kinda guy. I had a couple guides that needed replaced in a few rods and this machine was great. It has speed control and reverse direction. The only suggestion would be get the one with the pedal, use a switched extension cord or have a helper. If working on the far side of the rod its hard to turn it on if wrapping thread and control it. If only using for epoxy then no need. It kept things looking like a respectable repair job for me. I secured the motor to my workbench with gorilla tape and the adjustable roller table worked perfect. Would recommend.

A: There are backup rubber bands in the package.

A: I spent a few extra bucks on a rod spinner/epoxy drier. Well worth it as it also make thread wrapping a lot easier. Keep an eye on your two rod halves during the 1st step so they stay line up while drying. Very satisfied with the repair kit.

**Q: What's the material of the rod stand (height adjustable stand)?**
A: It's heavy, should be metal.

It is what I expected. It is not a heavy tool. The rod holder works well. I only use it for applying finish to my rods and letting it turn well the finish dries.
