A Wonderful, Relaxing Farming Game
A charming and relaxing farming game with a cozy atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience. I love being able to build up my farm, take care of animals, grow crops, and experience the different parts of life in the game. The characters and overall world have a lot of charm, and there’s something really satisfying about watching your farm and life progress over time. It’s the kind of game I can play at my own pace and come back to whenever I want something relaxing. The only thing I dislike is how short the seasons are. I wish each season lasted longer because I sometimes feel like I’m just getting into a routine with my crops and farm before it’s already time for the next season. Other than that, I’m really enjoying the game and would recommend it to anyone who likes cozy farming and life-simulation games.

My childhood revisited!!
I was 8 years old when i fist played the original Wonderful Life and Another Wonderful Life, It was the very first video game that made me cry and holds a very special place in my heart, so when i saw that the game was getting a remaster it was already an insta-buy for me. the limited edition version was just the cherry on top with the cute goat and the wall flag. If your coming into this game expecting it to be like the other Story of Season Games or Stardew Valley, I'll tell you right now this game is nothing like them, its more about slowing down and taking time to enjoy the simpler things in order to have "a wonderful Life" and its a lot more harder than them too. control wise, coming from playing the original , its alot more snappy and fast which took me a good bit to get used to, the mechanic with the animals and the tools got an upgrade making it easier to run the farm ,theres new scenes that weren't in the original game which add to the experience for me, some NPC's and the location of the game got their name changed which kinda works but i do wish they kept the originals. I am extremely happy that they included same-sex relation ships and the ability to be non-binary for folks that do care for that ( which honestly will enhance the sentimentality of this game for some folks i think) I know the difficulty or the lgbtq themes may turn people away from this, but i implore folks to give this game a chance, its a very bittersweet game and its an experience worth playing to the end. very happy to see this game again! :)

Great Value and Quality
I love the Story of Seasons franchise, the collectors edition I bought to support the franchise more considering they always price the games and collectors editions fairly. The wealth of characters and things to do will let you easily sink hundreds of hours into the game.

Pleasantly surprised
After seeing all the sad photos of crushed and potentially already opened boxes I had prepared myself for the same experience especially since it was marked off 20 dollars. I figured that was their compensation for the box being damaged... but it wasn't. Mine was sent wrapped and in an actual box. It arrived fast and sage, which is a relief after my previous order being delayed three weeks and still no promise it'll arrive for the recipient to open it for Christmas. Love the quality of everything here. Goat is pretty small, but it does describe it S a pocket size. Very cute. My daughter already tried to claim it moments after I ordered the set for myself lol. The tapestry is really durable feeling too, and a decent size. These days you're lucky to get a paper poster with a game, so this set is really nice. This is my first venture into story of seasons/harvest moon, so we will see gameplay wise how it meshes with my tastes. I'm coming from a background having played Stardew Valley to death and after having just gotten Rune Factory 5 at my daughter's suggestion (it was a toss up between that and this and, well, I got both) as well as Harvestella. I'm curious to see how each aligns with my preferred play style.

New and improved.
If you grew up on the original harvest moon games and absolutely loved them you will love this game. There are a few changes to the game that has made improvements, others I have to say ehh about. Improvements are fishing you can actually see a fish now instead of just water, the graphics are improved and there seems to be more to do. My ehh so far is once you cut the grass you plant in your field it doesn’t grow back. The customization of your character is a huge plus. Everything is very similar to the old games so it’s not a huge change. The game so far as been very fun and I look forward to getting to know the characters and see more events as I go thru. I have only played to day 5 in the game so far as I have just received it today but so far I’m happy

Brings back so many memories!!
If you played the original Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, you absolutely need to play this! There are enough changes to make the game feel updated without the nostalgia being lost, and I absolutely love that you can now romance whoever you want out of the town singles (also love fulfilling my childhood dream of marrying Lumina lol). The controls are also sooo much more efficient compared to the gamecube, though stamina is still a pain in early game. Overall: very impressed with this sweetly nostalgic remake!

Good, despite my nemesis
So. Many years ago, I remember being set before my family GameCube and being given this game. Don’t worry, I feel my age typing that. I was a kid back then, but I was so excited to play it because I wasn’t allowed to play much else and it was a small break into my gaming freedom. Essentially, I have a lot of love for the game primarily because of my love of it when I was a kid. It’s precisely why I bought it even though my love of farming sims has dwindled in the past few years. Is it an amazing game? No, the dialogue gets boring fast because even your spouse hardly says anything to you. The days drag a bit after you figure out a steady income. Just like I remember from back when. The animals are every bit as cute as I remember. Truly, you bond far more with your cows than you ever will with who you marry because at least the animals show signs of liking you. Blessed. That said, the most major flaw is one that has existed since I was a child. Do I remember how old I was? No, and I don’t want to, but let’s ballpark I was probably 8 or 9 for the sake of what I’m about to impart. When I tell you that a child can feel encompassing, unholy, near demonic rage I tell you this from experience. Carter is the worst character I have ever had the displeasure to know. I remember as a child spending hours in the dig site, and I know that I despised Carter to the depth of my being. My current, naive self didn’t remember why until I played this game and entered the dig site once more. I’d spent so much time there as a kid, surely the experience would keep me entertained just as it did then. Right? I met Carter, couldn’t remember why I hated him so viscerally as a child but gave him a chance. In my older age I thought I would put forth the olive branch, forgive and forget whatever transgressions my child self found so horrific. I enter the site, ask Carter for my mighty weapon- a shovel that looks like it would fit better on a beach than in delicate unearthing work. I set to my job, determined to relive happy childhood memories. Instead I relearned childhood miseries as, just like when I was a kid, Carter insisted on parking his rotund form in my way at nearly every chance was available to him. I’m digging endlessly to help this man and he INSISTS on ruining my entire day. Because he absolutely must park himself right in front of the dig spot I just so happen to be merrily digging. I am resigned to my fate the moment he comes anywhere close, knowing my work will be disrupted. When I tell you that I have played games with truly terrible, evil characters and I still would put Carter at the top of my list please know this is not an exaggeration. If you’re still reading this review I just need you to know. The dig site proves a steady income and an easy way to spend the days when you’re done with all else. You will probably want to be there at some point. Could you avoid it entirely? Certainly. But shiny gold things are a weakness many of us goblins have. It feels insane that this is still such an annoyance to this day. I digress. Thank you, Story of Seasons, for reminding me that I share something with my childhood self. It is good to know my unreasonable hatred for this character has prevailed the test of time, and I will not forget again. Tldr- Game is fine but an element of the game is mildly inconvenient, dialogue is boring. Game is good for nostalgia, but it’s not always a captivating experience else wise.

Juego muy lindo.
Vino con una manta con la imagen de los personajes. El juego y un peluche pequeño. Muy buen regalo si te gusta este tipo de juegos de granja o tipo animal Crossing.

Wonderful and faithful remaster of a classic. Absolutely worth it if you're a fan of the series!
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful World was everything I hoped for and I absolutely recommend it at both full price or on sale. The goat and the fabric poster was a lovely addition to the premium edition, if available, and the game also came with a nice booklet inside detailing some characters and features. After two decades, a wonderful world - one of Xseed’s original named titles on the gamecube - has made its way onto the switch with stunning colours and graphical enhancements, and immediately showed me why it was worth the wait. The Story of Season’s version of the game brings the charm and nostalgia of the original Harvest Moon version, but with quality-of-life improvements that are both welcomed and needed. Overall, I think you’ll find that the game recaptures the distinct feelings and tones of the original, so if you enjoyed the game previously, you will definitely enjoy this version as well. I believe it is fully worth the purchase for the excellent craftsmanship alone, but there will likely be a sale in the future as with most Xseed games, so always worth keeping your eye out! Happy gaming everyone!
