A bit confused by reviews that state this item would not fit a one year old, perhaps these people did not look closely enough at this product to notice that both the shoulder/side straps adjust to fit the child. I believe the estimate that this product is for a child from 1yr to 3yrs is just spot on. This item seems sturdy, well made and like most grandparents would only use a product if they felt it was more than fit for purpose, safety being the major concern. The chest pad is quite small, but it will not hinder movement, and won't feel restrictive or like the breast plate of a suit of armour. Fab price for a quality product in my opinion.
