Do your sleeves take 8.5" x 6" photographs?

No, the A4 sleeves I bought have 2 pockets and I guess are intended for 7x5inch photos. I use them for small drawings, collages etc. .

Can I fit an A5 card in the spaces?

As the others have said, A5 is very slightly too tall for these pockets and will stick out by a couple of millimetres. The Arrowfile ones are a little taller, but the pocket dimensions overall are also slightly taller and so might stick out of the top of some folders.

would this product be suitable for sewing onto fabric?

Never been asked about this application before but the pockets are acid free and would not damage the fabric

yes..each section is 8inches by 5 and a half inches so you get 2 x pics in..or 4 if using both sides of course...they are very good.
