Great quality great performance
Upgrading to the Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes was one of the best decisions Iโve made for my mountain bike. Right out of the box, the build quality feels solid and the cable length was perfect for my frame, installation was straightforward with everything you need included. Performance-wise, these brakes are a massive improvement over the OEM mechanical brakes on my Axum Comp X. The braking power is smooth, predictable, and consistent, even on long descents or in wet conditions. The lever feel is responsive with good modulation, which gives me way more control on technical trails. They may not be top-tier racing brakes, but for the price, the MT200s are unbeatable for entry to mid-level riders. If you're looking for a serious upgrade without breaking the bank, these are easily one of the best budget hydraulic systems available. Pros: Smooth, reliable braking Easy to install and is pre-bled Excellent value for the price Great modulation and control Cons: Not as powerful as high-end models (but more than enough for most riders) Verdict: A dependable, affordable brake upgrade that transforms your riding confidence highly recommended for casual to intermediate trail riders.

Great for the price
Bought this set to replace some SRAM that had a sticky piston. It was cheaper to buy these vs. fix the SRAM brakes. Bolted on easily, they were already bled and I was back riding in less than an hour. They required minimum adjustment once installed and they've been going strong for months.

Just Amazing Budget Performance
Got these as I've got an electric bike that came with basic Tektro cable disk breaks. I pull a very large trailer (it's a wooden wagon with 2 kids seats in tandem plus my wife sits behind that plus a rear rack with stuff on it). The base brakes were adequate if you used the bike alone, but with probably 300 pounds behind the bike, plus 80 pounds for the bike, and me at just under 200 lbs, I needed more braking. I paired these with a set of 203mm rotors and wow, what a difference. These brakes are smooth, easy to install, and very powerful. I can endo my bike with the trailer behind me. I'm sure I could flip me off the bike if I grabbed just front brake if I wasn't careful. Make sure to bed in the pads properly and you'll be good. I didn't have to bleed the brakes and just ran the cables along my frame. They were a decent length for a standard step through frame bike. If you want to run them inside your frame, you'll need a few extra parts and tools to cut the hose and reconnect. Overall, I'd argue this is the best value performance brake you can buy, especially since parts are easily available. Highly recommend.

So much nicer than cable, completely worth it
Losses one start because there's no adjustment for engagement point. It's alright where it is, and it's probably what keeps the price down, but my hands are on the brakes constantly, so tweaking it would be nice. If you're wondering if they're worth it, to replace cable brakes: yes, absolutely. Make your life easy though and run it externally, or you'll have to also buy a bleed kit.
