No, just a 2 cm lip at the bottom of the table section. I have the table section at 30 degrees when my laptop is on it.

I’d say the item weight 1kg and the packaging weighs 300g as it had quite a bit of packaging when we received it. I haven’t weighed it and it was a present so I can’t confirm but 1kg seems reasonable...
