Henne Color NJD-LHBW3 Brown Henna Hair Colouring Cream 90 ml

I have been using henna creams to brighten up my naturally auburn hair for about three years now. My hair used to be naturally darkish auburn rather than ginger but now I'm in my forties it's fading. I've recently switched to this Mahogany Henne Colour as I felt the Auburn was a bit too red for me, and It's perfect, similar to my natural colour before it started fading. It still seems to gradually lighten over about three weeks (I wash my hair every other day) but I just reapply it then to stop it looking too gingery. It doesn't seem to leave any permanent staining on my skin either, even when I've accidentally missed a bit and it stayed on my neck for 40 minutes :-) Sometimes I mix it half and half with the dark brown Henne cream to give a darker auburn, as this is quite an intense auburn/red colour on its own, especially if you have grey, white, or naturally red hair... I wouldn't really call it 'mahogany' which I think of as quite dark reddish brown. Like mahogany furniture, obviously. This Henne cream leaves my curly hair in lovely condition, is easy to apply and have no nasty chemicals. UPDATE August 2016: Well, I'm still regularly using this and have now included a photo to show the results on my hair. This is the result after 40 mins on my naturally curly auburn, shoulder length hair which looked faded due to increasing grey. I used about a third of the bottle, but put more on the roots than the ends as they still had some colour from the previous application about 2 months ago. Hope this helps!

I normally prepare my own henna every 3 or 4 weeks to cover my greys but the time it takes and the mess of applying plus the long lasting henna smell on the hair (often still after the first wash!) Can be off putting at times. I also get too much volume into my hair after a traditional henna. So I wanted to try this out to see if it might be a good alternative for holidays and busy days. I really like the smell and texture, it is so easy to apply! Because I ended up cooking I had the mixture in for almost 2 hours instead of 40 mins as advised, no itching or issues. It's so easy to untangle the hair after and wash out the mixture. Beautiful colour and covered all my greys! Only thing is it says it washes out after 4-5 washes which is unfortunate but have not yet washed my hair. Overall I very much recommend this so far.

My daughter wanted to dye her hair so I said she could use this as I would only let her use something natural. It's really easy and stain free to use and would definitely recommend it for that reason, easy to apply and mess free. My daughter did leave this on a bit longer than she should but it turned her hair ginger. Not bright ginger like the copper colour but it definitely did look ginger, she was gutted (I loved it as I'm ginger and have 3 kids who are all non gingers) but she was worried she would get bullied (which is highly likely) so we had to get it out and then she had to dye it with chemical dye which I wasn't pleased about. I think with henna as the leaves generate an orange colour I think it must be hard to avoid it going ginger.

I've been buying these in bulk for ages & have not had any real issues, only that the necks of my shirts,hoodies & my pillowcases seems to take some of the colour from my hair days after washing, drying & styling. Note, this product has skyrocketed in price and I now buy other hair dyes in my price range.

This is day after application. See shot of 'before' (mousy, pale colour), and 'after' (rich red colour). I'm delighted with the result. It's a rich red colour that makes my hair feel fuller. It's also made it softer and improved the condition. Downside is that instructions say it only lasts 4-5 washes. However, note that I left the dye in for like 2 hours instead of 20-40 minutes like it says on the instructions. Hoping it will last a bit longer as I don't want to use chemical dyes, but also can't be dying my hair too often! Note, it's covered some grey hairs very well, and added an overall lustrous tone to my hair. Very pleased!

The product is NOT MAHOGANY but is COPPER!! I use the copper and mahogany colours regularly ( I flit between colours). I would normally not be bothered about this as I've said I used both colours However, the seller is plain rude!! When I contacted them about it they were rude in their replies. I told them as I use both colours and know the results on my hair I know that this product is indeed the copper colour. But the weren't having any of it. They told me it was a manufacturer printer fault (something they should have advertised!!!). As the colour has come out a copper colour on my hair I know this to not be the case!! I genuinely didn't notice that the bottle said copper until after my hair was done. Which was when I contacted them just to let them know really. However, with their attitude I'm not impressed!! The product it's self is fantastic!! Leaves your hair a beautiful copper colour and in fantastic condition!! Just be aware you may have a more ginger colour than a reddy brown colour... Just a warning to those who are thinking of this for the first time attempt..double check the bottle!!

I am a natural ginger, i’ve never dyed my hair before and recently tried the mahogany henne colour - My natural ginger hair has dulled over the years and now a few greys have started to appear. I wanted to brighten my red hair and cover the greys. It did just that. I am so happy with it! I left it in for 40mins (as recommended on the instructions) and my hair is definitely brighter and no more greys! It’s definitely redder, but looks so natural. My hair is also shiner and seems more lush. I love it. Will definitely be using this again. I only coloured it yesterday, so I don’t yet know how long it will last. Also, not messy and easy to apply! I heard henne can be messy, so I am super pleased with this colour creme!

Love love love the colour, I've alway have wanted to go slightly gingery without being red or orange. Gave me a lot of colour without being a 'statement', very subtle but noticeable. Wouldn't say it improve the condition of my hair, as some henna act as a conditioning treatment to the hair, so I'm sure the raw powder form is much better for the hair. But this dye did not make my hair worse. My hair from mousey brown now changes colours in different lights, so pretty, but extremely difficult to photograph the different shades, hope you can see some in the photos. I would have to say that it does fade (like all red dyes), but fades well. Photos show the colour of my hair 1.5 weeks and 2 washes after I dyed it. I also had a roots growth of my natural colour to a lighter brown colour as a remainder of dying my hair fake red and fading back (leaving hair more susceptible to sun bleaching), the roots are no longer noticeable and blend beautifully. Will probably use again, but might try the henna powder first! Hope this helps. P.S. I washed hair first, then on towel-dry hair applied the creme, piled hair on top of my head and placed the bag the gloves came in over my head. Left in for 30 mins and washed out, conditioned hair like normal, washed out and left to dry. Could leave in longer for stronger colour or in for less for a weaker colour.

Not good product. Don't buy it.

Super produit, le henné couvre bien (donne de jolis reflets dans mes cheveux bruns foncés). En rinçant simplement à l’eau, mes cheveux sont super doux et brillants. Très facile à appliquer (en tout cas, plus facile que le henné en poudre).

Vraiment déçue par ce produit , je me sers d'habitude de vrai henné en poudre , alors pas de comparaison , ne tient pas

Super expérience. Mieux que le henné en poudre ça c'est clair. La couleur annoncée sur la boîte est conforme au rendu sur les cheveux. Les cheveux sont doux, brillants et gainés, et sentent bons ! Pour le moment je ne peux pas me prononcer sur la tenue dans le temps car je l'ai fait hier... mais j'en rachèterai !

Pour celles qui ont les cheveux très noirs et veulent couvrir leurs cheveux blancs pour ma part ce fut une déception cela n'a couvert aucun cheveux blancs...alors oui ça donne des reflets sur le reste et vos cheveux blancs sont entre le blanc et l'orange jaune non merci... Dommage ! Sinon je trouve que le produit donne une bonne odeur aux cheveux
