Honeywell T6360 Room Thermostat With A Lamp

One of the best Room Stats on the market, and no fuss to fit. Very little electronics to go wrong. Depending on where the Stat is mounted, If the dial is not set accurately for your intended sites use, the dial can be re-sited, This is achieved by first turning off the power to the Stat. slackening the faceplate screw enough to allow removal of the cover, then gently with your fingers, pull the dial of its shaft, and again gently, push back on in the new required position. then replace the cover making sure the two Lugs at the bottom of the cover correctly locate in there recesses before you put the cover back in place. Some knowledge is required for this task.

Bought this to replace an original 40 year old (still working) Honeywell thermostat. I had originally planned to use a surface pattress back box (white) to make cabling easier (I would not have to break into the side of the supplied back box). This proved to be impossible as the fixing holes in the thermostat are not on the horizontal centerline - being 37.5mm to the top and 42.5mm to the bottom. The fixing holes in a surface pattress back box are fixed on the horizontal centerline, being moulded into the plastic. So I had to use the original Honeywell supplied plastic back box and enter through the side. It is a 3 wire connection requiring a Neutral to enable to light to work. When the programmer is in a heating period, the light illuminates when the thermostat calls for heat. There is also an audible click as the contacts make. It seems to be very accurate (compared to a lab thermometer) and has a reasonably small deadband. It functions well and I have no reason to believe it wont last as long as the original.

Firstly concerned by photo which is for the T6360 without the neon light so sent off to Heating Solutions email and received prompt and very nice response reassuring me I would get the T6360B and intimating control over the photo on Amazon was not all together in their hands. So ordered on 17th feb due 21-25 Feb arrived 20th. Packaged in original Honeywell red box wrapped in bubble wrap enclosed in grey plastic outer with pucka invoice (not always sent).Yes it was the T6360B1036 with neon light and following the instructions which came with the thermostat set up in quick order. You need to pay attention to the instructions since hidden away in the rather tedious print is a note to the effect that if the circuit is below 6 amp (from memory) you need to include the neutral wire as well as live and load wires so since my circuit is rigged up with a 3 amp fuse I kind of guessed I needed the neutral. This was to replace my very very old (40 plus years) analogue thermostat which sadly has begun to show its age and isn't very accurate. Ok it was hopeless. The accuracy on the T6360B is terrific; I have a battery operated digital thermometer next to it. The neon light comes on when the boiler does/ignites and Its really great to be able to see when the boiler is on and warming the house up. Great service, delivery and product. I am delighted and chuffed to bits with it. Six stars.

Very nice unit that requires a three wire installation, or put another way the two boiler switch control wires and a neutral. The switched live wire from the controller is used to turn on the neon indicator once the other switched wire and neutral is connected to the appropriate terminals. This neon indicator with resistor appears to be internally connected which makes installation simpler. However, the temperature knob needs to be removed then repositioned on the knurled shaft to correspond to the correct room temperature set using a mercury ambient temperature thermometer as a reference.

Inherited a very grubby / paint covered Honewell thermostat with the house. This replacement was simplistic to fit and does the job well and at a good price. The light showing heat demand is useful.

I bought this to replace a similar one that had given good service for 3 years. After removing the previous failed thermostat I found that it had stopped working because a small plastic screw retainer inside had fractured. ( Not a part that the installer has to touch.) Hope the new one fares better.

Bought this room stat. Is cheap and very good. Keeps the temperature very icurate. Very happy with purchase.

Great item, just like the 20 year old one it replaced. It is now registering the correct temperature, the old one had drifted. Audible click when coming in or going off l, no longer a buzz and click.
