Rim 6 x 4-inch Sashlock with Handles - Black, 177-10-2

An inexpensive unit that's well made, easy to fit and just works as you want it to 👍

Very much needed this piece of hardware so I'm grateful for it. However I would have liked to know that the knobs are plastic and I would have liked the chance to upgrade to metal.

This shed lock is brilliant, fits perfectly and securely.

The mechanism itself seems fairly substantial but as for the rest... The lock is unbelievably bad. It wouldn't defeat even the dimmest burglar. The "key" is basically a flat piece of metal. Utterly useless for security. The handles are made out of the absolutely cheapest type of plastic - probably recycled from the trays they use in microwave dinners. So, if you're looking for a handle operated door catch this is fine; you can always put better handles on. If you're looking for a lock to provide security, this is not it.

The lock is robust and finished in a weather resistant black powder coat paint and comes in a sealed blister pack. The lock is around 35% cheaper than local DIY stores representing good value for money. Installation is easy and the lock can be installed in just a few minutes with basic tools. The screws are poor quality so it maybe an idea to replace them. The lock is the old fashioned rim lock design from the 1940s and very low security but ideal for gates and sheds that don’t store any expensive items.

Easy to fit ,works well ,

Plastic knobs, flimsy and latch spring broke on fitting with internal screws so poor they couldn’t be removed. Totally useless, save yourself the grief and choose a different product. Waste of money

So easy to install, fit perfectly but I found that the handle is a bit too small comparing with the size of the lock itself, but for the prize, cannot complain too much, good product and does the job perfectly

Robust, well finished product. Note that the knobs are plastic (perfectly understandable for the price) but still of good quality.

Molto carina, ideale per porte antiche per dare un aspetto retrò, la serratura funziona perfettamente.

Perfecto para casetas

The locking mechanism is ok, but the quality of the handles is unexpectedly poor. Cheap, plastic that lets the whole product down. Not impressed. A quick scan of the ad shows that this is not mentioned anywhere.
