Seals up well.
It's a seal. As long as you get your pinion nut tight and use a proper driver to install it, it should be good. Make sure your seal surface is in good shape also so you don't have premature failure.

Fit 1985 F250 with 10.25" Rear Axle
I had my 1985 Ford F250 start leaking at the rear differential. This seal fit perfectly in the Ford 10.25, replacing the old seal. I have had no issues with leaks since then.
