I bought this in ivory but the tube says white. There is a sticker on its saying ivory so which is it?

Hi. These tubes are generic so they are labelled with the colour once filled. The adhesive label saying Ivory should be the correct colour.

Do I need a gun to apply this with?

Yes. A "mastic" gun or "sealant" gun, sometimes called a "skeleton" gun. You should be able to borrow one from someone with moderate DIY skills, or if you have to buy one, less than £3. ( http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-sealant-gun/83385 ) Applying and smoothing the sealant will take about 5 minutes, BUT the preparation getting ALL the old stuff off and thoroughly cleaning the whole area could take a few hours. Preparation is the secret. Good luck.
