Hilka 85151617 1/2-inch Air Impact Wrench Set

Used one of these in the garage i worked at before retiring so was a must have for the home workshop

I've seen plenty of these air impact gun reviews and i now understand. Most of the time the reason "it won't even undo my car wheel nuts" is because you need to give it decent high pressure air at a good flow rate. I had same issue initially them cranked it up and now it works great. Disclaimer- use higher air above manufacturer’s recommended pressure at your own risk.

Avoid, absolute waste of money, it couldn't open a coke bottle. Every nut and bolt was met with nothing but a rattle and noise. I expect so much better. Had it running at 8 bar or 116 psi. Bolts were tightened to 120nm this impact wrench states it can deliver up to 311nm. Fyi, It did not come with oil or female coupling that connects the oil filter to the air hose, unless your hose has a female coupling attachment.

This arrived the day after ordering ,it came boxed with everything you need to get going(except oil)my box is smashed in one corner so one star is deducted for that reason As long as your compressor can handle 90psi you should be ok with this,I’ve had a quick test and it seems pretty good and seems like it will handle everything I need it too,there’s a knob on the bottom which has 4 settings on,one being the weakest and 4 been the strongest you can hear the difference between them,I’ll update once I’ve had chance to work on my car and use it

Quite impressed with the rapid delivery as only had it on a standard but arrived the next day and have used it now a number of times at work with no issues . A good little buy for the price .

When this item first arrived, i took it with me the next day to help a fellow car-club member with a problem he had run into. Its first use was on the crankshaft pulley bolt (tightened to about 130lb/ft/170Nm) and it didn't even try, even on the highest setting. In fact it wouldn't even undo wheel nuts at 110Nm/81lb/ft. Contacting the seller they were immediately helpful and offered a replacement if i sent it back. However the postage cost was ridiculously high so i persevered with this. It turned out the pressure setting valve (adjusted with the small knob next to the air input) had simply stuck and after tapping the handle in the right area i heard it shift. After that this tool functioned as it said on the tin. I've since used it many times on many different jobs with no problems and have contacted the seller to explain everything is now ok.
