Good product
They are large and sink to the bottom. My axolotl eats them and I remove extras when he is finished. It is helpful to use a dish if you have sand in your tank.

Great food
My axo’s love this. It is not too dry and stays together well.

Great for growing axolotl
Great value. Our axolotl seems to eat without issue. No bad smell. Quality pellets that are easy to eat.

It's fine for a lazy way to feed an animal, doesn't seem great long-term though
Got it for feeding to assassin snails, since they ran out of prey in my tank. They'll eat it alright, although I don't know how nutritious it is for them. In the end, I just put the remaining assassins in my pea puffer tank to be eaten... a bit sad, but they didn't seem super healthy on this food anyway. It might be great for axolotls, although I'm guessing like with many animals, it's just a lazy way to feed them something tolerable, and not really what they'd prefer to eat.

Your axolotl will thank you!
These are a great purchase if you have an axolotl! They provide additional nutrition which is great for a worm-based diet animal. We were recommended these (and Grub Pie) by a top rated aquatic vet, to add on to my Axolotl’s diet since he was suffering from Red Foot Disease and consistent fungal infections. I was worried because some reviews mention that their axolotl’s did not eat them, but there is a trick to getting my guy to eat them. (The pellets are hard and irregularly shaped compared to worms so letting them soak in water for a couple minutes first helps a lot! Sometimes he’ll spit them back out, but we just try again with the same pellet and he’ll eat them the second time)

Good size
My axie is 3 years old he wasn’t to sure about them at first however he did eventually eat them they are a bit smelly but not to bad if you have cats definitely keep them put away you get a good amount in the bag definitely get your moneys worth outta it they are soft enough for my boy to eat will be buying again however I think he still prefers worms

Good for a axolotls
They the only pellets my axolotl actually enjoys besides worms. You do have to keep them in air tight container to keep them fresh my son left one bag open and they got extremely hard. We had to get another bag.

Axolotl won’t eat these
My axolotl loved the small bites because she has grown, I got her these big ones but she will not eat them. She spits them out, which she’s never done with any kind of food before and it almost looks like she’s choking on them. I think these pellets were made way big and the circumference of the pellets need to be smaller- even if I cut them into smaller pieces, the width of it would still be too big. I’d recommended just sticking to the small ones.

Amazing
Easy to use and very good for soothing and helping cracks heal in the winter.
