An ingenious bit of kit, works well, and easy and tidy to use.

Good straight forward instructions . Easy to put together. Simple to do the initial charge and it works amazingly well. The horses are very respectful of it and I’m very pleased with it

Great energiser, been working day and night since November. Only had one mains charge in January. So much easier that charging batteries. The Animal Command Team also offer great customer service.

Seems to be doing a great job! This is my first foray away from a battery powered energiser. Charged for a few hours and then put in the field. I’m using the earth post that came with it and am probably doing about 500m of fencing with branches coming off for sections etc. couldn’t be easier to set up. Highly recommend

Only worked for 6 weeks. Since iv charged it back up once and it lasted a week and now it doesnt last an hour. Obviously something wrong with the battery but i cant seem to be able to call the company as the number comes up as not recognised and im struggling to get through to amazon customer services

Arrived promptly and after a charge on the mains to get it started it was out and on duty. It replaced a smaller unit so I did not have get a fence and stake. It has worked for the last 48hours and the flash and tick from the fence showed that it worked on a drizzly October day and stored enough for overnight. I still expect to top it up in the winter. So top marks for ease of set up and functioning as designed. The smaller unit was replaced as the seagulls and heron treated it with disdain, it really did not bother them. This morning I watched on CCTV as the heron received several jolts as it went through the fence, you could see it flinch, but it still got to the pond. I will be extending the wire of the fence but the learning is that there is not sufficient power to stop or deter the bird, only to teach it some respect. It did keep its distance from the wire as it took off when I appeared. So a good bit of kit but for some purposes it serves only as a warning not a solution. That is were the final star was lost as the description did include protection against herons, which it isn’t. Update Six months later and over the winter I only had to recharge it from the mains three times so that exceeded expectations. I have added a star as after its initial casual approach the heron has only been back a couple of times and then it kept a distance from the fence. It flies over most weeks, being chased by the gulls, but does not stop. So it appears that the unit is now earning its keep as intended.

Works well

I bought the My Animal Command solar charger after reading lots of positive articles and reviews. It is replacing my Parmak DF-SP-LI solar charger that we bought a year ago. The Parmak never worked properly even after returning it (at my cost) to the factory TWICE! In addition, the Parmak costs about $100 more. The charger is for our 100' x 50' garden. We've run 4 strands of 6 wired polyrope in parallel around the entire garden with a single strand 3 feet outside to visually discourage deer. The charger comes with a separate Wall adapter so you can fully charge the battery via the built in DC Port on the unit. It took less that 4 hours before it was fully charged and ready to install. I attached the charger to a t-post and then attached my ground and positive wired to the easily accessible posts on the charger. There is a large on/off button on the front of the charger plus a LED light that flashes to show the current discharging into the fence. I decided to test the current with my hand....IT WORKS! We have only had the new charger for 2 months so can't predict how long it will last. Based on reviews, it has been very dependable for other users. We are very happy to have the My Animal Control solar charger and glad to be rid of the Parmak.

Not working, but they send me a new unit very quickly and the new unit is working well great customer service and very responsive. Emailed them and heard back right away. Plus they even put a bonus light tester with the replacement charger. Wow I mean that’s so nice thank you my animal command. Now my animals are being commanded the sheep stay within the fence at first they weren’t, but the unit wasn’t working, so yeah all good. Now they’re getting electrocuted and finally respecting the fence.

Good to see this was Australian designed (China build) and it seems to be really good value. Haven't tried it yet but am confident it will be sufficient for our needs. Great service.

This solar fence charger is AWESOME!! We bought a Gallagher when we first built our pasture for our horses, and it was a lot more money and it gave out and stopped working after about 2 years. So we decided we would give My Animal Command a shot. It has worked every day for almost a solid year. We live in upstate NY with very rough winters and a lot of cloudy days, and this solar fence charger never failed us. The Gallagher needed a new battery to continue to work and that was very expensive, and a pain to get at, as it is awkwardly installed in the back of their unit, this charger has a very easy charging system. I have had to call this company twice, once when I first bought it and 11 months later. Both times the owner picked up the phone and answered my questions. In this day and age to have the the person who makes the unit talk to me and help answer my question is incredible! Great product and very amazing customer service. It's a 5 star solar fence charger, Bravo!!

Excellent unit, output is a constant 9.8 which certainly made a bear and lynx leave in a hurry. I lost the red knob on the back and called customer service and within a half hour I received a call back with the proper size so I can find some nuts here to get the unit up and running. For those who may be interested the size is M8 which is a standard nut at most hardware stores. Overall a quality unit with 5 star service......
