I am quite pleased with this toy! Bought it for a big Malinois. As stated by previous reviews, the ball didn't last very long as expected. He normally chews through a tennis ball in 30 secs. This ball lasted about a day which was longer that I'd hoped for lol. He's a very big dog who loves tug of war. The toy held up strong for about 3 weeks before he finally popped it during a really strong pull. Most tug of war toys last less than a week with him, so this is definitely stronger! And even after it popped we were able to use the rope by itself for play and that is still going strong today. Overall pleased with my purchase!

The ball was crushed in less than 5 minutes of playing with my 6 month old 42lbs English bull terrier. The ball broke into pieces and my puppy ate a piece of it, hopefully he poops it out instead of throwing it up. It seems fine without the ball. I don't let him chew on it unless I'm playing with him so he doesn't ruin the handle.

All is took was FIVE MINUTES with my 6mo old, 38lb, female, Lab mix pulling on this toy and the ball—which is NOT a real tennis ball—disintegrated. It just fell apart. The rope is still in good shape so I'm going to cut holes in a real tennis and try that. The ball on the end of this pull toy is stiff and brittle. I don't recommend buying this item unless you want to return it or repair it yourself.

My dog chewed through the handle but that was our fault for not watching him. Not a defect but wish they were stronger. The rope was completely adequate and nice to not have your hands get slobbery. He checked the ball off in five minutes. I kind of expected as much. Worked fine without the ball. Dog is a labrabull.

I have never left an amazon review but his product was just awful and worth the time. My medium sized dog pull on it for about 10 full seconds and the rope popped out of the connectors. I was left with two pieces of rope and no way to play tug of war. It seemed to be held together by some sort of low grade Elmer's glue that couldn't withstand a Chihuahua let alone a "Medium or Large Dog". Do not purchase unless you just want different pieces of rope for your dog to chew on with a plastic handle they can chew and ingest.

this is a great toy for a really small dog. We have a GS. He tore apart the ball in two seconds. Then he kept chewing on the plastic part, so we had to throw it out. We tried to play with him, but he'd jump for it and that was hurting us physically. This toy just didn't work out at all.

Great while it lasted! Our dog (shes a little welsh springer spaniel) had this thing in tatters in about 3 and a half weeks. But until then, she absolutely loved this. Great tug-of-war toy!

Keeps my pup entertained, but he was able to rip the fabric off the ball within a couple hours. A couple days later he managed to chew the entire ball off the rope too. Rope/plastic still works best for chewing/tug-of-war/chasing playtime though!
