The tone of 760 is warmer, with a "classic" midrange character as opposed to the somewhat brighter sound of Chromes. I also find that the 760 maintain their tone for much longer after break-in than Chromes. The longevity of the 760 should easily offset the difference in cost. I am partial to the 760s, personally. That being said, the tonal differences can be subtle according to which bass they are installed on. **Q: Will these fit a Gretsch G2220 short scale bass?** A: Yes **Q: Fit squire mini Pbass ?** A: They fit an Ibanez Micro bass very well 28” scale I thing.
