Replacement Blade: 1/4-Inch

I love this machine! I've had it for two years, with intermittent use, and the blades broke. I'm not sure if this is normal wear and tear for this machine, it didn't feel like a lot, but it has been two years, and I do make a lot of sweet potatoes. I am VERY happy that the replacement blades are only $10! That makes the machine really worth it! I thought we'd get more than just two years of intermittent use. It didn't seem like a lot of handling. It is, however, a great machine, especially when comparing to other french fry cutters. My mom just bought a $25 plastic one to uI'm giving this product only four stars because our original - the one this goes to- broke after two years! We LOVE to make sweet potato frys, and broke numerous plastic fry cutters before finding this awesome machine. It works fantastically, except after two years it too bent and the metal replace the parts on this machine about every 2 years. At $10 for the replacent piece, and $60-$80 ( I think it went up since I bought it!) for the machine, yiu are looking at a little while before you get a return on your investment, but if you eat French frys/ sweet potato frys like I do, than it won't take long! A little over a one pound bag of Organic at Safeway is typically around ~$6-7. And even organic sill usually has unwanted additives. The organic sweet potatoes I buy in bulk from Costco, 5 lbs or so, is for approx $7-9. In just a couple of bags of sweet potatos, you'd have earned back your investment and would be starting to save money!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love homemade fries to the point of a coronary. I have 3 different sizes for my french fry cutter and this fits right in with whatever mood I'm in. Solid construction and dishwasher safe. It's nice you can remove the frame to really get it clean. These are sharp, make no mistake. Also, manage your expectation with the size of the potato you think you are going to shove through this thing! Cut accordingly before slicing.

When I bought the French fry cutter, it didn't include this size. So, I decided to buy the 1/4 inch blade and pusher which I had to buy separately. I love the French fry cutter as it cuts everything so much easier than the previous cutter I had. The 1/4 blade requires a bit more pressure than the larger sizes since it is making so many more cuts. With my previous fry cutter, even my husband couldn't cut the larger fries with it. I had to buy the pusher separately, but it's well worth it to be able to cut French fries so easily. It should be noted this blade will fit only the table mounted cutter. I accidentally bought the 1/4 inch blade set for the wall mounted cutter, and the mounting screws are in different places. In addition the wall mount model uses pushers made of plastic. The pusher for the table model is made of metal. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Great quality. Fits both model fry cutters just fine. To small for sweet potatoes though.... works fine with yellow or regular brown potatoes though. Only comes with the blades though. The matching push plate is not included with this but sold separately. Based on our usage to date we would recommend this item. Will update my rating and review if our experience or use changes.

This cutter for potatoes works great. When you want an easier way of getting many at once and a better taste. This is a better option. It is quite easy to put together and take apart.

The 3 mounting holes were not in proper location to match the holes on unit. All were off just enough to ease of assembly was difficult. Opened up holes a little and it works but still a problem to mount. Original cutter comes off and remounts much easier

Unfortunately, I have had this product for awhile now and can't return it. I didn't use it much until now. The reason: it's difficult to push the potatoes all the way through. I'd find myself wigging the remainder of the potato through the blades. I figured I would purchase the smaller 1/4 inch cutter and pusher to see if that would help. That's when I learned that the pusher hits the blade. I can get it to work perfectly without a potato in it, then as soon as I push one potato through it goes off track and it's a nightmare trying to get it aligned again. Then the same thing happens again. This will eventually break the blades if I continue. The worst part is I have no idea how to contact the company and ask them why this is happening.

Good quality and work better than expected

El filo es duradero, no muy fácil se oxidan las cuchillas, solo lavar con agua y jabón, no usar cloro con jabón, le quedó muy bien a la máquina.

this is my third season making honmemade fries. theses are great replacment. i live on pei
