First of all, the frother works like a charm. Exactly what we wanted. Through no fault of the manufacturer, we wound up with an issue with the glass container. We contacted the Secura folks and they made it right. Fast. I mean top shelf customer service. You will not go wrong buying this.

At first I was concerned the handle did not appear to be attached well, but I’ve been using this daily for almost 7 months and while I am careful when cleaning it to not tug on the handle, it has held up perfectly and produces rich foamy milk each time. It is very easy to clean, and I prefer the glass container to one with a non-stick coating. The quality of the foam does depend on the type of milk and how fresh it is, I use whole milk and have tried oat milk which does not froth as well. I rarely review items, but I am s satisfied with this milk frother and steamer I thought I’d pass on the recommendation to others.Update:Two years after purchasing this, I love it still. It is perfect for making mounds of frothy hot milk for my morning Java.Whole milk and ultra-pasteurized milk seem to work best, use about 2 ounces and add to a big mug! And I like the glass container, no plastic except for the lid, and you can see the foam being created, unlike in a stainless jar. And it’s less expensive now than when I purchased it over two years ago. For now, at least.Tips: Clean well after each use, which is very easy, and occasionally use a small drop of cooking oil to lubricate the frothing disk.

Absolutely love this device. It’s become a morning staple for us, and coffee/tea just isn’t the same without it.Had it for a while, and sadly I accidentally broke the glass vessel. BUT, I emailed Secura, and they were super easy to work with, and had a replacement headed our way with in a week!If I could give them 6 stars I would! If you are kicking around the idea of getting this, do it. It’s a frother, but also a perfect hot chocolate or matcha maker too! We also add all sorts of flavors to the froth to make fun new breakfast beverages!

I had at least moderate hopes for this product in that its whisk mechanism seemed simplistic and less prone to quick deterioration. Unfortunately, the Secura suffers from the same problem that multi-function milk frothers suffer from: magnetic coupling to spin its whisk.In theory, this sounds like an elegant solution, the problem is in the execution. These devices use extremely low quality motors to drive the magnetic spin and they deteriorate very quickly. My unit functioned normally for approximately 1 month, but it is now apparent (both visually and audibly) that the motor has begun to wear itself out mechanically and its rotational coupling with the whisk is dramatically weaker (leading to inability to froth appropriately). Load for my usage has been approximately 1 to 2 uses on the stiffest froth mode per day for roughly one month before significant decline in functionality.Given the short lifespan, you are still better served by a no-frills hand frother and heating a cup of milk or milk-substitute in the microwave first.
