The picture is quite mesmerizing! It is an odd shape, and I was able to easily trim it to fit a more standard size picture frame. It will look lovely in my bedroom.

Great piece! I am amazed by the texture of the textile and the contrasting colors. I like that the threads and the background are somewhat shiny. It really highlights the piece. I found a way of avoiding the framing. I wanted the piece to be exposed and to create a synergistic surrounding while some light and air touches it. So I bought Japanese Tenugui hanging rods (from Amazon) to hang it and to secure it. The rods are a bit pricy but they add some depth to the piece without compromising its pristine condition. Be careful; the one thing that the product description does not tell you is how stiff the tapestry is. It has a cardboard-like flex. So it was challenging to put the rods on it, but I made it work as you can see on the photos.

The Large Asian Silk Embroidery Art Peony is just stunning. The light reflects in beautiful ways that cannot be achieved by embroidery done with cotton floss. As someone who enjoys the process and results of several forms of needlework, I can appreciate the quality of this item. While it's not hand embroidered (which is obvious from the extremely reasonable price), the precision, color shading, and incredible detail, provides an elegant alternative to attempting to replicate this by hand. Additionally, you'd be lucky to find a kit with this quality for the the price of this artwork, not to mention the hours and hours it would take to create something like this by hand. After receiving this item, I purchased other embroidery items from Grace and I look forward to the many years of pleasure that I will experience by having her items grace my home.
