ETERNITY Lighters Flameless Electronic Rechargeable Windproof Premium Survival or Candle Lighter with Dual Arc, USB Cord, Brush, and Bag in Gift Box

I bought one of these on a whim. My smoking days are way past behind me but I like it when stuff catches on fire. When my Eternity lighter arrived I was Very Surprised at the high quality of the gift box at first. It was tightly constructed, dense, stout and the box felt almost silky to the touch. As to the lighter, it's solid, it works great, and if a cigarette lighter can be beautiful, then this one is that as well as elegant. I bought five additional lighters as gifts and everyone loved them! My only reservation is the small size of the ignition zone (1/2 cm or so). But clearly a larger ignition zone would increase the lighter's size and weight. On balance, this is as good as it gets.

I have found this to be a great product. It works every time and usually last for seven days easily on a single charge. Charging time has been less than an hour each time. It isn't affected by temperatures like the butane lighters I leave in my truck. I've carried Zippos for years. With this lighter I don't have to worry about smelly fuels, flints, or butane refills. If I'm away from home and it gets weak on charge, I just plug it into the phone charger in my truck. Only bad point is the gold tone finish didn't last three days carrying it in my pocket with keys and such but I expected that. It is still very functional. Think I'll order a black one next time.

I was extremely dissatisfied as soon as I unboxed this lighter. As a comparison, my prior electric lighter was the Plazmatic X Titan. I’ve had the Plazmatic for over a year—of extensive use—and now it’s to the point that its battery hardly holds a charge. I looked at this Eternity lighter as a replacement, especially since it runs $20 cheaper than the Plazmatic ($25 for the Eternity compared to $45 for the Plazmatic). Both lighters check the same boxes (USB charged dual-beam electric lighter, down to the same size and button locations), but this lighter ended up being inferior across the board.The worst part of this lighter, and what ultimately makes it unusable, is its sound when being used. This lighter makes an extremely high pitched noise when the button is being pressed. My prior electric lighter, the Plazmatic X, does not do this. The noise is clearly audible, and is even more so to my dog—when used, the lighter will wake up my dog from ten feet away. After wondering if this was a defect in the lighter I received, I checked out YouTube videos of Eternity lighter unboxings—multiple products, not just this one. Each video I checked had this high-pitched squeal as well, so this is obviously a defect in all of their lighters.This lighter also runs while the top is closed, unlike the Plazmatic lighters. There’s also no child lock on this lighter, which will be make-or-break for some. (With the Plazmatic, you can quickly press the button 3 times to lock its use.) This lighter’s finish is completely smooth, which some may prefer, but to me it feels cheap because of it. As its only pro, this lighter does come with nice packaging.So overall, if you have a pet, a kid, or if your hearing is susceptible to high-pitch noises, avoid this lighter. I’m still not convinced that the Plazmatic is worth the $20 more, but it’s still the only dual-beam electric lighter I’ve found that works well. If you’re looking for an electric lighter and don’t mind spending $45, get the Plazmatic X instead.

It's a good little lighter. Takes some getting use to but I will be a pro in a few weeks. It doesn't give you 300 lights but 100 is more accurate. Being a heavy smoker doesn't help either so if you're not a freight train maybe it will last a week on a full charge. Not for a heavy smoker. As a heavy smoker it lasts about one day and a half. The space between the arcs is a little small so you kinda have to move it around a bit. It gets dirty fast so keep the brush handy. Overall I'm impressed. Good technology that should have been made a long time ago. One good thing about it is you don't have to worry about lighter fluid getting on you when it's in your pocket. I choose not to use the little bag that comes with it because reaching in and out the bag all the time would drive me nuts. I don't care if it gets scratches on it in my pocket as long as it works. The box that came with it is nice but will never use it unless l have to send it back for warranted reasons. The warranty is only for a year for a forever lighter. If it were a forever lighter why isn't it a forever warranty. You tell me.

It does work fine. Some scratches on it and it's very disappointing. It should look new while sold as brand new.

I wanted to really put this lighter through some real world use before offering a review. I’ve had it for over a month and so far I am really impressed. It is a very reliable lighter. I was apprehensive about these types of lighters based on some reviews, however I have become a fan. It holds a charge for almost a week and it recharges in about 2 hours. It lights without fail everytime until the battery runs low that is. The downside is that there is very little warning that the battery is about to die so I carry a regular bic lighter just in case. But not a deal breaker. Others that notice my eternity lighter are impressed and it is definitely a conversation piece. The lighter has good weight and has a very good quality feel. As long as the lighter continues to work as it has been and the battery continues to hold its charge well it should prove to last a good long time. Time will tell, but have had no indication that it will not last years.

I baught this eternity lighter as a gift to my son ., he is amazed, he is in a jeep club..all his friends are impressed with his lighter..itsveasy to use..no more i " i have to buy buy a four pac of other ligters" cause this one just recharges..it has a beautiful casing..sleek. attractive to the eye..just so in live with his gift..i definately have recomended it to all his friends....also has a small carry bag and comes in a wonderful gift box..

I gave this product 2 stars because of the awesome appearance, packaging, and included accessories. I loved this lighter until it stopped charging after just 3 months of non-regular use (not even daily use). When the lighter was working, it didn't hold a charge for about a week, as advertised. I had to recharge about every 3 days.
