Love it! Quiet, lightweight not too heavy.
I like this blow dryer because of a few good reasons. It’s not a big clunky piece of hard plastic. It feels soft, the texture of the item makes it more slip resistant when it’s set down. The Chic Republic hair dryer is quiet and lightweight, the cord is long but heavy. A warrantee is offered in the box but the link does not work. That being said the hair dryer works excellently. Though the 2 attachments that came with it in the box do not fit the hair dryer.I hope this information was helpful.

Multiple Settings, Very Fast, Relatively Quiet, but no Folding Handle
I replaced a 10-year-old still-working Conair 1800-watt dryer with a broken handle with this one. I hate noise, and the Conair was the quietest of the 8 dryers I had live-tested at the local Target. This one was twice the price of the equivalent current Conair, and I think it's worth it. The air discharge speed is higher than the Conair, but the flow rate is lower, due to a smaller discharge nozzle, and it definitely drys my quaranteen-overgrown, thick gray mop much faster. The lower heat setting is ideal for drying my ears. The build quality is excellent, and the cord is very long. I don't know about the ionic technology, but I didn't notice any static. As for noise, I used an audiometer to measure the highest speed at 82 dB A-weighted at 0.5 meters, the same as the Conair. It does have a higher pitched sound, which may bother some. It is NOT what I would consider a "travel" dryer. It's relatively heavy and lacks a folding handle.

Quiet; fairly lightweight; less strong airflow may take getting used to for those with thicker hair
After my Hot Tools hair dryer bit the dust (cool shot stopped; something loose was rattling around inside the dryer, and it was far too loud), I wanted another hairdryer that was not too heavy and much quieter than my old one. Note: I still have my old drying as an emergency back-up if this one meets an untimely death. After searching and scouring the reviews on multiple dryers, I decided to purchase this one.I have very fine, thin, straight hair that used to get very static-y and dry using my old dryer (which was also an Ionic/tourmaline). Initially, I thought the dryer was not powerful enough (not enough airflow), but during the second time using it I found that I had adjusted to speed of the airflow. The first day, my hair looked and felt much better - no static, felt smooth and, because the airflow was less gale-force wind, I actually got a decent style before I used my curling iron. My hair even appeared to have more body(!!). The second day was no different. After using this for about a week now, I am quite pleased with it. I find the dryer to be relatively lightweight (the cord itself adds weight) - it is certainly much lighter than my Hot Tools dryer and is significantly less loud. I can actually hear my music playlist from another room while I'm drying my hair.As a couple of other reviewers mentioned, I won't be using the attachments - they just aren't necessary for my hair type. Also, I thought that the lint screen was removable (which was a plus with the Hot Tools dryer). If it is, I certainly haven't been able to remove it! So far, I am very happy with this dryer and hope that it lasts me more than 3 1/2 years!

Good overall hairdryer
I like this hairdryer for how lightweight and quiet it is and how well it dries hair. But I don't like how heavy the cord is. I would still recommend this hairdryer since you can simply leave the cord on a counter and not feel the weight when drying your hair.

My super-thick hair loves this dryer
For background, I bought this dryer to replace my Hot Tools dryer that I bought about a year ago. I figured out long ago that with hair appliances, you get what you pay for, and I haven't bought a drugstore Revlon or Conair dryer in years. I would love to get a really high end model like a Sedu but honestly can't justify dropping 200 bucks on a blow dryer on my salary. The plan was to use this as my primary dryer and use the HT one for my gym bag. However, I'm reconsidering that idea because after only the first time using this dryer, I LOVE IT!It's too soon to tell if it will hold up over the long run, but this piece of magic from Chic Republic is small, lightweight, quiet, and it dries my thick hair quickly. Most impressive, though, is how it makes my hair feel--so soft and not at all frizzy or dry! I'm seriously considering buying another and relegating the Hot Tools one to garage status (for craft and home repair projects). If you are on the fence, I absolutely recommend this model. You won't regret it.

Works as well as louder driers
Our older hair drier worked very well, dried quickly, high air speed but man was it loud. I wanted something just as effective but quieter. This hair dryer is just about perfect. I wonder if the lower air speed would make a difference and to be honest it hasn’t at all. It dries just as fast but way quieter. I measured the noise and this is about 10-15 decibels lower and also at a lower pitch, both things help tremendously. The cord is long and thick and it seems like the cord weighs more than the drier. I also want the power/heat button in the lower position so I may take it apart and see if I can swap it with the heat button. Otherwise for the price and performance and quietness this is a great choice!

Best hair dryer I have used
I needed a quiet, lightweight dryer and my search eventually led to the Chic Republic Professional Hair Dryer. I ordered it and kept my fingers crossed that it would live up to its description. I've had it for about 1-1/2 months now and my satisfaction grows every time I use it. The following info is provided to assist those who are debating on whether this product is the one they should choose. My previous dryer(s) had high-pitched whines on the upper settings that was really annoying. The Chic dryer's only noticeable noise comes from the force of the airflow through its narrower nozzle and is definitely not a problem. The dryer's cord is the same as the dryers that my hairdresser uses; it is longer and heavier and the plug is not HOT when I remove it from the outlet. The design of the dryer is great; it is lightweight and has a comfortable grip (great for my smallish, arthritic hands), and I've yet to accidentally toggle switches for the settings because they are placed perfectly. In summary, I don't wonder if I am damaging my hearing, my hair dries quickly, and I experience less fatigue during the drying process. Great dryer.
