Keeley Halo - Andy Timmons Dual Echo Pedal

The Keeley Halo genuinely sounds incredible. The delay tones are rich, spacious and beautifully musical, with a softness and depth that makes lead playing feel huge and expressive. It absolutely nails those atmospheric Andy Timmons-style ambient echoes, but it can also cover more conventional delay sounds once you start exploring it properly. What impressed me most was how refined everything sounded. The repeats sit perfectly behind your playing, never harsh or intrusive, and there’s a really addictive sense of width and dimension to the whole thing. Clean tones especially sound stunning through it. Build quality is excellent too. It feels like a premium pedal in every respect. That said, I have moved this pedal on - not because it sounded bad, quite the opposite - but because I personally found the learning curve steeper than I could really be bothered with. I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to gear tbf. There’s a lot going on under the hood with the dual delay setup, hidden functions and deeper tweaking options. I can absolutely see why some players love that flexibility, but I realised I wanted something simpler and more immediate. In the end I swapped it for a more straightforward tape delay-style pedal that suited the way I play a bit better. Still, if you enjoy experimenting and want one of the best sounding modern delay pedals out there, the Halo is seriously impressive.

Whether you’re playing lead, ambient, or even adding depth to simple chords, it elevates your tone. Build quality is excellent, as you’d expect from Keeley—solid, reliable, and clearly designed with musicians in mind. Overall, an outstanding delay pedal that delivers both simplicity and depth. If you’re after a delay that sounds musical and inspiring rather than overly technical, this is it. And the preset feature is amazing for keeping your favourite delays ready to use

I've got a few of these amazing pedals but be warned. Keeley have updated the firmware on the more recent models and the sound is excellent. I bought two of these recently from the Keeley store on Amazon in the USA. The first was fabulous, the second pedal that was sent was a scam. The pedal serial number on the back of the pedal was an early number and different from the one on the box. The pedal was clearly second had complete with scratches and a faulty switch. I don't know who is to blame for this, but clearly someone substituted an old pedal for a new one. The pedal itself is perfection, so easy to use and adjust, it was designed by a genius. Well done, very well done.

Best sounding delay pedal I’ve ever heard . Very expensive but worth it

Une des meilleures pédale echo/delay. Ne vous laisser pas tromper par les fonction secondaire, il n’y as rien que vous n’avez pas besoin et tout c’que vous avez besoin. Facile a utiliser. Même sans ajustement ont obtient un son de qualité en utilisant seulement les 8 ‘’preset’’ et le tap tempo. Mieux que toute les echo/delay haut de gamme que j’ai essayé.

Yes, this guitar effects pedal is a bit pricey. But IMHO from my experience from the past 50 years playing professionally, it's well worth every penny. I use this every show I play anywhere from 8 to 10 shows a month. It sounds great through 2 amps
