scrapbooking
I originally checked this book out at the library and then wanted to purchase it and I did and this book has got to be the best book if you want to do all different types of scrapbooks. I wanted to try the lunch bag one, my friend got one as a gift from her baby shower...I will definitely be using this book a lot as the directions for each item is so easy to read and things you have on hand and can recycle into something so nice for someone. You have to get this book! Easy to read and follow along w/each description of the finished product! I gave it 5 stars...thanks!

:-( An Idea Book -- Not a How-To book. :-(
A 3-star rating of "It's Okay" pretty much describes this. I thought I was buying a book which would teach me how to actually construct different types of mini-albums myself but this is more of an idea book, with suggestions for themes and ways to embellish pages, like so many already out there for scrapbookers. There are a few new book/album types, with instructions & templates for actually constructing the albums, but most of it isn't so different from idea books for embellishing larger scrapbook pages.

Amazing Inspiration
If you're anything like me, you sometimes hit a creativity lull. No matter how hard you try, you can't think of new ways to scrap your pictures. This book can open the door to a whole new aspect of scrapbooking. The author shows how she fell in love with mini albums and how you can too. She has amazing ideas, things you'd never even think of, and step-by-step instructions on how to make each one. I especially liked the Starbucks Coffee Cup album. What a cute idea! I really recommend this book.

Inspired and activated
This book is filled with detailed understandable instructions. Creating any orall should be do able but I gave this book a five for the inspiration not the instructions. My books will be my way based on inspired images from this book.

Great book
I choose this rating because the book is very nice and well thought out. The neatness and clear instructions make this book a great starter book. The pictures were great and the overall feel of the book was nice. Sturdy and arrived quick too.

What a fun book!
This is such a fun book. There are so many different types of fun mini-albums that can be made by young and old. I have made the CD case album and the paper bag album and both turned out so cute. The instructions, along with the pictures, are easy to follow. I can't wait to make more of the mini-books.

Cute
This gives great ideas for cute small books. My neices love scrapbooks and the larger ones take so long to make that making small ones for specific activities works great for them.

A great collection of ideas for mini books!
Although this book is quite old, it's still very relevant today, especially if you put a mixed-media twist to your pages. It may not be groundbreaking in terms of its content, but it's a great collection of ideas for making mini albums and journals. I especially like the upcycling projects using cardboard, paper bags, CDs and board books. Of course, you can find similar projects on the internet for free, but it's still nice to have a collection of ideas in a handy book that you can just pull off your bookshelf if you need inspiration. I love the messy style of these little books and although this publication is aimed at scrapbookers primarily, most mixed-media artists will also find it interesting and relevant as there's definitely a cross-over between the two styles. We just like to use more paints and inks and messy stuff instead of patterned paper, but the actual construction of the mini books is still the same! One advantage of buying older books is that you can usually pick them up for just a couple of pounds, which made this book unbelievably good value for me!

Buy this book at your peril!
Buy this book at your peril! I should have taken note of what some other reviewers said about it. Within days of reading it, I find myself eyeing up cereal packets and old CDs wondering what kind of mini scrapbook I can make with them. I furtively ask people to save their coffee cup holders for me, earning myself the oddest looks. I had no idea that mini scrapbooks could be so interesting and how much fun you can have finding things to make them with. This book has been a real inspiration.

Great for ideas!
Great book full of ideas to create your own mini books and albums. Some quick, some more labour intensive. Excellent step by step photography. Suitable for all levels from beginner to the seasoned mini book maker. You'll never look a coffee cup sleeve or a coffee filter in the same light again... be warned!

Great book!
I first read this book in the library and knew I had to get a copy. It has some really cute ideas. Having said that, I'm not an experienced scrapbooker, so the concepts are still new to me.

This really is a great book!
I have been burned so many times with craft books. I buy them and they have mostly useless or ugly projects, or projects that require pro level skills. But this book is fantastic!! Great ideas.
