Review: Great introductory knife - My 8 year old wanted to help with cooking and this knife helped introduce him to food prep. It's not sharp, but I like that it's metal and not plastic. It's not strong enough for things like carrots, but lettuce, cucumber, pepper etc it works well for. After a few uses he's ready for a proper knife but i'm really glad he used this one first. He still uses the finger guard even with sharper knives.

My 8 year old wanted to help with cooking and this knife helped introduce him to food prep. It's not sharp, but I like that it's metal and not plastic. It's not strong enough for things like carrots, but lettuce, cucumber, pepper etc it works well for. After a few uses he's ready for a proper knife but i'm really glad he used this one first. He still uses the finger guard even with sharper knives.
