This gel works really well for defining and holding my hair without any crunch or stickiness. It gives a soft, flexible hold and adds a nice shine without weighing my hair down. I also love that it’s alcohol‑free and doesn’t cause flaking. My curls stay in place and look smooth all day. Great styling gel.

I can’t live without this Biotera gel! I’ve tried many more expensive and famous brands, but nothing works as well on my curly hair. I’ve been using it for over 4 years and have no plans to change. It gives great definition and hold, leaves my curls soft and bouncy, never dry, crunchy or hard. Zero frizz, beautiful shine, and it’s alcohol-free so it doesn’t dry out my hair. Best gel I’ve ever used, hands down. Highly recommend for curly girls!

I tried at least 30 different gels, many 3-4 times more expensive, before ordering this one. It works perfectly for me, and I’ve given it to several other curly haired people who have also loved it. It’s Curly Girl Method friendly, and never fails to keep my frizz tamed, even living in the Pacific Northwest with lots of wind, rain, and humidity. It also does the trick when I’ve travelled to other climates, including southern Mexico, and it’s never let me down. I need to use a lot less of it than other brands I’ve tried, about two tablespoons total. I apply it with praying hands after cream, air dry, and then lightly scrunch and it works like magic to keep my curls shaped, frizz free and sooo soft! On very rainy days I use a tiny amount to touch up if I’ve got evening plans and always make sure to keep a travel bottle of it on hand. Between wash days I lightly dampen my hair, add this, and it dries perfectly. I’ve changed up other parts of my routine, from washes to cream, but as long as I use this gel, it’s all good. After decades of struggles, I am so grateful for finally finding the perfect gel!

Good product. I wouldn't say it's great but that's just for my hair. My hair is fine and thin and this falls flat. I still have to use another product to plump up my hair. Probably would not buy again

It smells like Matrix but does not hold up like it BUT I would buy again because of the price but it is not a crunchy as I like it so if you like a soft hold this is perfect for you. It can flake a little but not first day.

The product is great! However when the cap on bottle is not secured, you receive the liquid product in a plastic bag. Thank goodness the plastic held due to 3 more items in same box!

Medium hold. Defining. Moisturizing. Great for fine hair. Not sticky at all. Easily refreshed with a little bit of water. I would buy and use again. Definitely..

I have 3A/3B, fine, low density, low porosity curls. This is my holy grail gel! I used to use the Volumax gel sold at Sally's beauty and was looking for something similar to that. I use a leave in, this gel, and I use a light layer of a thicker gel diluted with water if I want a little more hold. The smell is a light scent which I appreciate not having such a strong scent. I haven't noticed a white film as some have reported, but I don't apply it to towel dried hair. I just ring out my hair with my hand and apply to wet hair straight out of the shower.

2.5 stars for me. I was a huge fan of the old formula and was disappointed when it was discontinued a few years ago. I haven’t found anything even close to being as good for my curly hair ever since. I had high hopes that this would work just as well, since the consistency seemed almost identical, however that was unfortunately where the similarity ended. This did not create a cast for me at all and I just did not get the definition that was so incredible with the old formula. Additionally, where using the old formula my hair would look better the second day after styling, this one left my hair a mess on the second day. I’ve styled with it twice since purchasing and both times was really disappointed. I guess I’ll keep trying and adjusting how I use it, since I’ve got a good 900ml left. I don’t know why brands do this. Like the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don't fix it!
