Close but no cigar.
I'm Argentinian and for the exception of the chimichurri which real chimi doesn't contain mint nor cilantro, the recipes are pretty good. We are all addicted to empanadas and ice cream !!!

Great book.
I lived in Argentina for a couple years and my wife got this for me as a gift because I kept talking about the empanadas. This book has great recipes and is well made and designed. We've tried recipes out it and it just takes me back. It's also got great photography and could double as a coffee table book too. Bien hecho Che!

not what i expected
With a title like "Argentinian Street Food", I expected a book on exactly that, with perhaps hints about where and how to buy such things in Argentina. Instead it is a book about a French restaurant (Argentinian chefs) concept and their traveling van.The recipes for Empanadas and the cultural history was interesting which is why this isn't a 1 or 2 star review. However we are hoping to go to Argentina in 2021 and this was intended as a gift to my 85 year old mother to inspire and excite (she likes street food). Instead it is amore a coffee table book. Good production values but a bit thin otherwise on excitement. Next time I will read the contents more and rely less on the title! On a small point, it has a map of "empanadas of the world" and surprisingly Spain is not included! I eat them there all the time. Just a small point but sort of indicative.Brendan
