Great puzzle for anyone!
I had the original and had forgotten about it for years, but started playing it again recently. With any version of these part of the challenge is learning when to go fast and when to go slow and tilting your best angles. These weren't made to be easy. They're meant to be challenging! People who say in their reviews the puzzles cannot be done are incorrect and evidently lack patience. If you have no patience this is probably not a good choice unless you're buying it to try to learn some patience. Concentration is more important than dexterity imo... On the original, I had the hardest time going from 30-31. Took practice. Now it's super easy on that part. I had to keep trying over and over. Some of this is rote...you will memorize movements and breeze through parts. So if you're having a hard time watch a how to video or just keep trying. There are easy paths and some very tedious paths. You'll eventually get it. Quality. Well it looks beautiful. It is larger than the original which is now called the Beast. It has a very clear plastic outer shell with no branding written on it like the original...that got in the way sometimes. BUT I can tell the outer shell is NOT as thick or sturdy as the 2009 one. I'm an adult so I don't see it being a problem but I like the quality feel of the older one a lot better. NOTE: don't throw away your stand. There is a flimsy little stand inside the bottom part of the packaging. It's great for keeping it from rolling around getting little scratches when not in use.

Challenging, but fun
This presents new challenges that are fun to overcome. However, the ball often gets stuck and it can be hard to see where the ball is. It could also use more color to help distinguish between track. This is a puzzle/toy, it does not need to match an asthetic to be good. (I have an "Original" Perplexus from about 8-10 years ago that is bright and full of color. Much easier to navigate visually). The plastic dome on this is also less sturdy than my old Perplexus. The plastic track also has a couple spots where an extra piece of plastic (spots that are obviously not part of the design) can make it hard to maneuver the ball. Overall, it has a couple annoyances but is still fun to use.

So fun! Hours of entertainment!
Bought this for my son and honestly I ended up playing with it more than him! It’s so fun and built great. A bit big but helps with locating the tiny ball. The build quality is amazing (my sons have dropped, kicked, and thrown this product and it never breaks or cracks). It can be a little challenging but that’s part of the fun! Definitely recommend for older kids 8+ but my 6 year old still loves to try.

Great for children with busy minds. NO TECHNOLOGY REQUIRED - I LOVE IT
I got this one for my son. He is 10 years old and is on the Autism spectrum. He is very hands on and loves puzzles and games. This was perfect for him. It also turns out that the whole family loves this thing. I was hoping that it would be something that he could pick up and just jump right in to playing and I was not disappointed! The three starting positions act like a save game spot for when you drop the marble - and you will drop it... a lot. The track inside is complex but not overly difficult. It is easy enough to make you keep trying but hard enough to ensure that you don't just run through the full 100 stops. I have been working on it here and there and have yet to make it to 100. This has been great for guests as well, something that they can just pick up and play with that doesn't require any real instruction and is not a cell phone! Get it but be warned - you may not be able to put it down, at least not gently anyway. I have been tempted to launch this thing more than once. The game you love to play but drives you crazy at the same time.

My son loves it. it is different than other perplexus spheres in the sense that the track is flat, but it is still fun though. best part is the rotating track, with varying speeds. highly recommended to purchase for kids. great alternative to Computer / mobile.

I bought this for my kid for Christmas but I am obsessed with it. I am going to buy more, for myself. I find it challenging as an adult and my kids like it too—just not as much as I do because, as mentioned ...
