1/1.2" Sensor means amazing details and low light performance!
I've been running a bunch of cheap 8mp cams with 1/2.7" sensors. Holy cow what an upgrade moving to 8mp with a 1/1.2" sensor! Night time performance with even just a little ambient light is amazing. I'm able to run a 1/100 shutter and still get a decent usable picture without cranking up the gain or IR lighting that attracts bugs. Daytime performance is mindblowing comparing to a cheaper cam. The bigger sensor gives you that much more data per pixel. You will want to run a higher bitrate than you would with a cheaper cam, just because there is so much more detail. They are a bit bigger than I'm used to so I had to 3d print some different junction boxes to hide the wiring.

Great Color at Night
Andy is great. I have several cameras from him. The nighttime performance is incredible. Very little light is needed to produce a great color image. If you do not have enough light, the camera has two built-in white LED lights that provide more than enough light to capture a great image at night. But no camera is magic, so you either need some visible light or be willing to use the built in light.

One of the best low light camera's I've used
This camera is one of the best low light camera's I've ever used. The large image sensor on this camera with a fast exposure rate will give you clear and crisp color images of a moving person or object at night in low light situations without any motion blur. The low light capability of this camera is extremely important if you want to actually identify someone at night using the recorded footage from your surveillance cameras.

Full Color in the Dark Update
After some settings and adjustments, here are the outstanding results. Daytime almost looking into the sun. Night with the built-in LED setting at only 4 out 100. In the background, one may see a hi-tension tower almost 1KM away! Under magnification the power lines may be seen! Even in the dark one may see the tower.
