Vintage Genuine Leather Tote Shoulder Bag for Women

I decided it was time to be done with coated canvas and microfiber bags, and get one for an adult woman. I checked prices & read lots of reviews before finding this company. The bag was carefully packed, arrived clean, and with none of the bad smell others spoke of. Very good quality for the price. It is roomy, sturdy zippers and a nice amount of pockets for inside organization. Zipper pocket on the back is a safe place to store your phone. Nicely finished exterior edges, tight stitching, metal 1/2 button feet elevate the bottom OFF the floor. Truly impressed with the quality of the bag! Let's see how it lasts....

I received my bag today and it is exactly what I wanted, and beautiful also. This is the second purchase of Kattee bags for me, and I am still using the first two. This one is more business friendly with an outside small zippered pocket for fast access, like keys, and glasses. Inside has more glasses pockets, an inside zippered separator for things that you don't use all the time, and on one side is another small zippered pocket for small things, meds or lipstick. Very happy with the leather and color, excellent delivery time also.

I like this purse. At first, it smelled bad, can't quite place what the smell was. Not leather, so who knows. But, the smell went away. It's durable and hold lots of stuff.

Love the purse, but is heavy as it's all leather. Use in winter.

Fantastic, well-made bag. The shoulder strap won't stay put after you adjust it, so I had to resort to a do-it-yourself rivet kit. Otherwise, it gets lots of compliments from people who love the look. I work in marketing and have a lot of items I carry to work every day, this is by far the best way I've ever found to carry it all, it's very comfortable to carry for a long time even with all of this in it. Update - 3 years later it's still in pretty good shape! It doesn't look worn at all from the outside, although there have been a few points of failure over the years: - Main zipper failed after about a year, the teeth started being loose and not meshing properly. The zipper can probably be fairly easily replaced, I haven't tried yet. - The shoulder strap does NOT stay in place, after less than 10 minutes of walking with the bag the shoulder strap will have stretched to its max length. The adjustment buckles are not particularly strong or effective. Fixed this with some big ugly safety pins inserted directly below the adjustment buckles, it's a bit tacky but it keeps the strap from sliding down. It gives the bag character, is what I'm going with - The strap gets bunched up in the metal loops that attach it to the bag. It's functionally fine, but it looks ugly. This is probably just a function of the strap wearing and becoming less stiff. - The shoulder "pad" isn't padded at all, so when the bag is holding a lot of stuff your shoulder will tire quickly. Otherwise though, I am VERY pleased with this purchase. It holds my Surface Book, Canon 70D (in a padded insert I purchased separately), extra lens, charging brick and cables, notebook, pens, several power bricks, and more with ease. It still gets the occasional appreciative look when I bring it places. It allows me to carry WAY too much stuff on a daily basis, but I'm a big guy (6'3") and it's not hard to tote around everywhere.

I am VERY impressed at how quickly this company shipped my bag. I had barely hit the submit order button and the bag was already on my front doorstep! It took them barely 24 hours to get it to me. Sorry for the rave, but I am just that impressed. As for the bag; it's pretty awesome too. I'll admit that when I first pulled it out, I was a bit put off by the fabric. It's a thick almost jean-like material. Since I got the blue it really looks like someone turned a pair of jeans into a bag, but I know that's how pretty much all military fabric is. From the outside, it doesn't look like it could hold your laptop, a handful of notebooks, three Harry Potter books, a sketch book, a leather journal and a large breed dog, but it can. This thing is massive when you get it fluffed up. The buttons and clasps work well and take a little effort to unstick, so I'm not too worried about losing anything I happen to stuff into the pockets. The only bad thing I've run into since starting to use it is the zipper. This things looks really sturdy, but I've only zipped and unzipped it a handful of times and it's already starting to run along the teeth without sticking them together. Yeah this is a little annoying, but I just leave it unzipped and am content with the top flap covering my stuff. If it gets to be too much for me, I'll just beg someone that's good at sewing to replace it for me. I like this bag too much to let one little thing ruin it. Like some other reviewers, I haven't had trouble with the strap sliding. At least not yet even though I have it fairly full right now. To sum it up: this bag is awesome. It's huge, looks great, and is a convenient way to tote your stuff around. I'm pleased.

The bag itself is great. Perfect size, nice leather and holds shape extremely well. Purchased in 2019. Used for exactly 9 months before the straps started to fall apart. Bag is in perfect condition, no blemishes on the bag and liner is in great shape. Unfortunately, the straps are not the removable type and have completely shredded and peeled at across the top of the strap and at various other locations along the strap line. What a waste of a good bag. I wouldn't have minded if the straps were removable and could have been replaced, but why bother with a leather bag if the straps are not made of the same durable material. It's really too bad as I loved the bag.

Found this bag on Amazon Warehouse in a 5 star used condition, so I saved a bit. The leather is a thick dark green (though in the picture it looks marbled, which is what drew me to it) that can withstand what you throw inside. The handles have a 10 inch drop, can fit on shoulders but not over a coat. I bought the dark green to use in winter but the used tote did not come with a shoulder strap. Have my eye out for a dark green shoulder strap now. Inside there is a zippered pocket divider, with another inside zip pocket and slip pockets on the other side. The tote measures 14x10.5x5.5 outside. However, you lose 2.25 inches inside due to the top zipper. If the manufacturer placed the zipper closure on the top of the bag, that would give you the entire 10.5 inches inside but you only get 7.75 inches in height inside instead. I would just leave it unzipped but I plan on using in the Pacific Northwest January Winter, when the rain is impressive and I would not want my belongings inside to get wet. Plus, I don't want to give thieves any head starts. A great buy at the full price, I would recommend.

Love this bag! Bought one for myself for a more elevated work bag, and my mom saw it and loved it and asked for one for Christmas. Get so may compliments with it, it’s a great size too!

This is now my favourite bag. I brought it for work to transfer file etc in, but I take it everywhere now

This bag is absolutely not genuine leather, but if you can accept that, it's a very good bag. I wanted a classic, unfussy tote bag for work. All the genuine leather ones I liked were well into the £200+ price range, but I just didn't want to pay that. As an alternative, this is very good. Its classy, roomy and had all the features I wanted such as metal studs on the bottom, zip closure at the top and also for the inside sections, and has adjustable straps. Its quite structured and holds its shape well. Highly recommend.
