better than described. Worked right out of the box and has been a great addition to the drip system in the green house. Easy to use and dependable.

Easy to use
The simplest and most reliable water timer I’ve tried . Have been using them for years and they never fail . A simple job done in a simple , intuitive way .

Easy, good, but with some limitations; opaque, incomplete instructions.
This is fairly simple to use. The instructions are not very good. There's no protection from the elements, so you can be sure that after a few years the dials will fade. It won't work if the water pressure is too low.Having said that, it's simple to use. There's no clock, so if you want it to water once a day, you go out and turn it on at exactly the time you want it to start. What they don't tell you is that if you go out at 7pm, hook it up, set it to 24hrs *nothing* will happen. You have to wait 24hrs to see if the thing is working. You can still use the manual override to make sure it will turn on and water will flow. You are exchanging some options for simplicity of use, but if you want something to run your drip system once or twice a day, it's basically easy.*Supposedly* it turn off if the battery dies. I haven't tested this but I bet it will do exactly that--my old one didn't.There is a battery gauge built in but it isn't clear how it works. I'm guessing that it will start blinking at you if there is a problem.Basically, a simple device with new dreaded menus, but I doubt it will last more than a few years without a protective cover. Take a magic marker and put a red mark on the black dials because they are impossible to read.

Requires pressurized system.
Works fine. Requires some diligence. I love the cover. Minimum PSI 15.Threading will back leak, use plumbers tape.Easy to use. QR code to scan for instructions.Quality outweighs expense.

probably the best money i've ever spent in my garden
If you spend time shopping like I did you will find that this is a great product at a great price. I have about eight of these in my garden and I've never had one fail. They are simple and foolproof. There are a lot of other ones that are a lot more complex with digital readouts etcetera but it's unnecessary and in my opinion a detriment. I can't speak highly enough of these and I've bought them at least four different occasions period

Easiest to program timer you buy, and it works!
If you have a garden shrubs and you need a timer that will turn on and off the water supply every day, this is the timer for you. One knob for length of watering, one know for how many hours between waterings. Turn the knobs, it starts the first watering right then. You also have a knob that will allow you to add one watering at the time you turn the knob, timed by minutes.

DONT BUY THE WIFI VERSION!
The wifi product needs serious work. Took me 90 min to update to the latest firmware because it kept failing. For every time it failed i had to reset it by taking the batteries out for 10min. Otherwise it would never respond to turn on and off via the app. Once i updated the firmware i finally was able to control it via the app....however if you press the button in the device to open the valve...guess what...its stops working in the app. You have to remove it from the app, reset it and reinstall it. Rushed product!

The Best Timer I've Found
I started with a mechanical (no battery) years ago and it didn't last a single season before something broke inside. So I bought one of the Raindrips at a big box store that came with a micro-watering system. It worked great. Then I bought another Raindrip timer from Amazon to hookup to a hose bib and water plants with a sprinkler while I was away on trips. It worked perfectly. So I bought another and then another!!!! I now have 4 of these! Battery's last all year and setting the timer is as easy as it gets. Note: I did buy another brand with a digital readout that has places for two hose connections (2 zones) and it's very complicated to program so I don't use it anymore. Another note of caution: Do not leave the timers outside when the winter freezes come. I made the mistake of leaving one outside last year and the water inside it froze and caused a leak in the device. It still works but has a slight drip. I'll probably replace it nest spring. Anyhow....I definitely recommend this timer!
