The System (MiHome) was not working as I expected and showed that this solution (433Mhz) is not as reliable as other systems (ZigBee, Z-Wave). I noticed that the eTRV's were not changing the room temperature in accordance with the predefined setting. A simple test brought the confirmation. Using the App, I set the room temperature from 16 Celsius to 25 Celsius. The eTRV should open the radiator valve, once I confirmed my new setting. You can hear the eTRV working if in a quite room but for my test nothing happened. It was like my command was ignored. Only 38 minutes later the valve was opened by the eTRV and the radiator started to heat up.After that experience I researched the internet and found other user complaining about latency and miss communication with Systems based on 433Mhz.I decided to return the two sets and the gateway.

These are a great idea and were at a reasonable price compared to other products on the market (Honeywell...). Sadly, they just don't work.Setup was fairly easy, although sometimes it took a few goes to pair them to the main hub. The web and mobile interfaces are easy to use. The problem is that the radiators are either stuck in boiling hot mode or freezing cold. They don't seem to take into account the thermostat on the valve. I tried all sorts to get them to work, even writing code to call there public api.I also have the other products in the mihome range, MIHO002 and MIHO005 which work 99% of the time. Although, they seem to be having trouble with the main controlling website which was down yesterday. Error 502 attached.I'm really disappointed, because this could have been a brilliant product. Hopefully, Nest will create some valve controllers?To Energenie, If you ever get them to work, I'm happy to be a Beta tester but I've lost a lot of confidence on buying the actual product.

1. Devices can be grouped in the App (ie 2 eTRVs can be grouped as "Bedroom"), however the group "Bedroom" cannot have its target temperature set or any timers set. So this has to be done for every individual device instead (ie groups are a waste of time).2. Temperature settings for the eTRVs must be in the range 12 to 30 degrees ie nothing below 12. For me this made them unusable since I needed temps down to 5 degrees C during the day.3. You can connect the MiHome App to Alexa and see its devices, but if you ask Alexa to set a temperature of 21 degrees for a device, she mistakenly tells you the temp must be between 10 and 30 degrees and does nothing.4. The small plastic wedges used to keep the ETRVs in place are not up to the job, when pressing the top button the whole eTRV would fall off its radiator valve mounting.5. After hours of trying to get this kit to work effectively it was all bundled back up in its boxes and sent back, don't make the same mistake of purchasing any Energenie MIHO0** kit.

i cannot comment on how well they work. returned becuase of the sheer size of the valve and non of the supplied adaptors fitted my fairly standard looking radiator valve fitting. seeing is believing, i simply couldn't accept the additional size was worth the functionality gained. they are however currently the only system certified to work with Nest thermostats

Much easier to install than I first thought. Work great but the app doesn't update the thermometer temperature without opening and closing. Run quiet enough not to wake a baby but do make a noticeable noise if you're awake to hear it. Not built to last, after having these installed for about 2 years, 2 of them have broken around the base.

Although these were not suitable for my home heating setup I have to give them a five star review for the support from energenie. I had several emails a day correspondence with the company and they were fantastic. Unfortunately with my home setup I was unable to integrate them into my home . I still have my enrrgenie controller and plugs and I intend to grow my home automation setup with energenie.With Amazon's 30 day money back guarantee I would recommend you try emergencies products . there app is fantastic for controlling your home automation but even more important the support from the company is second to no one.

Sadly, I would need to buy an adaptor for each radiator to convert my TRV's to these. These adaptors were scarce and expensive.Hopefully one day the adaptor can be added as part of the pack, and then I will repurchase to use along with the many other Energenie products that I have and love.

I use these in conjunction with my Nest thermostat. They can be set to follow the thermostat to ensure individual rooms don’t get overly hot, which I use. I also use timer functions to only switch on bedroom rads when they will be occupied. App is intuitive. Slightly fiddly to fit as you need to use the correct spacer ring (mine needed no rings), but they do the job and the batteries seem to be lasting fine. Highly recommended.
