light weight. easy to use, functions/works well

This is exactly what we needed for our lightweight back porch wooden door! So many of these are heavy duty, ready to work on a really heavy door, but this is a screen door. Assembly was easy. In fact, this was assembly on a brand, new door, not replacing one, and it was easy. Functionality is perfect. The door closes perfectly, and the adjustment was easy to make. Overall highly recommended.

Its a bit short, but installed to replace original Larson auto closer that would not unlock. I had to make new screw holes for shorter closer. I like the simple design over latest auto lock closers.

This is a nice quiet storm door closer. I used this in my farm on a screen door to my office in the barn. It only had plastic hinges and was not closing completely without a little help. I installed one of these and adjusted it so that it would just give it a little bit of help closing completely and it did a fine job. I like it because it also can hold the door open when I need to bring things in and out that take both hands. I have installed a few of these things in my day and this is as good or better than most of them I have ever installed.

I purchased this for the standard glass storm door on the front of my house, it was easy to install and seemed perfect at first, it worked. But it did not last long. Before long the pneumatic pressure just gave out completely after not very much usage as I normally come and go through the garage. Ultimately pretty disappointed with it, but it was very cheap, and did work great for awhile. I would not recommend this unless you're planning to just do a quick fix while selling your property. If you're actually going to keep using the product, this isn't for you. I'm finally going to replace this with a different one. I guess this one said "light to medium duty". I might try their other model that is for "heavyweight doors", even though my door is not something I would call heavyweight.

We have one of those light, hollow doors that you'd find inside a house at work and for some reason nobody is capable of closing a door behind them no matter how large of a sign is placed there to remind them or how often they are verbally reminded. I am tired of having to drop what I am doing to walk across my work area to close this door so the racket of equipment on the other side doesn't drive me crazy. This door closer is perfect. At first, it was a little strong and springy, people would expect it to slam closed after letting go even though it never actually did. After a few days, the closer was working even smoother and doesn't feel so heavy. It's been a couple of months now, and it's still going strong. If anything, it has become even more pleasant to use with less resistance to opening and slower closing speed but still the exact amount of closing force at the end of it's travel to close the door completely. I couldn't be happier with it.

It works, sort of. It does install quickly. That's the only positive. The speed of closure is erratic at best. No matter how much I adjust it, the closer either slams the door or never closes all the way. I'll probably just pick another up at one of the local hardware stores. Maybe I just got a dud, but for me, this was not a good purchase.

Replacement for our old screen door closer. Quite frankly, I'm not sure that (in the US, at least) you'll find much of any other kind than this. Find the color you need at a good price and you're good to go.
