It is made of light but sturdy brushed aluminium, with a very minimalistic look (as you would expect from MUJI). You can use it with international cartridges, or you can get an adapter. Very well-balanced and comfortable to use. My main problem is that I cannot get a smooth flow with the Extra Fine tip. I feel like I need to press more than I am used to, and that creates a slightly scratch feeling in the paper, which I do not enjoy. I am using Waterman Intense Black Ink, but I cannot achieve a smooth and continuous flow, with some letters/words coming up as darker than others, probably due to the pressure issue I am finding.
