You can have it on your back, (also has a hidden zipper on a pocket on the front of the bag) for totally hands-free use and then slide it around to to the front get your stuff out. Or just wear it in front for safety in a crowded place without it being too bulky because it's pretty flat. Excellent size, not too big, not too small--carries my phone, rather large wallet and a water bottle. In a pinch, I can even stuff a hat in there too but is a bit too crowded. Very casual and sporty for city or sport use but doesn't look too hard-core sporty (like mountaineering gear).I would give it a 5 if it had an outside pocket on the back of the bag to get my phone in and out more easily when I slide it around to my front and a splash of color or decoration to give it a bit more character.
