I love these! I wish they came in larger quantities. They are super reliable and hold heavy loads. They aren’t suitable for renters but they are great for homeowners who are sure about placement. I used these for holding the supports for a heavy wooden headboard onto a (drywalled) wall. That headboard will survive an earthquake.

These worked about as good as I hoped. It made really good sense to me that the "wings" that open on the back side are flat and wide, giving it more surface area to grip compared to the old style drywall anchors that tend to pinch into the wall and cause a point of failure by getting the crack started - and, most people tighten them too much! As an experienced do-it-yourself guy, the MOST IMPORTANT thing to say is that the drywall anchor is only as strong as your DRYWALL!!! And, you can not defy the laws of physics (leverage) with a better drywall anchor. So here is some common sense info for you . . . Hanging something on drywall with a downward force is not the same as PULLING the drywall, by way of leverage. If you are looking to hang a TV flat on your wall, this WILL WORK. But I noticed a couple other reviewers tried to use this to mount a "telescoping" tv mount, you know, the ones were you can pull the tv 2 feet away and tilt it or turn it in any direction. Please understand that when fully extended, the weight of your tv is applying TREMENDOUS leverage which is essentially applying a pulling force on the upper mounting screws. That type of TV mount needs to be mounted into a beam - at least ONE screw needs to hit a beam, and then these anchors can work fine to augment the strength. The other reviewers who complained about this product not working. . . Look closely in their photos, and you can see that it is the WALL that failed, not the anchors. These anchors work great, but they can not help you break the laws of physics and common sense. So if you can't find at least one beam to screw into, simply don't install one of those telescoping mounts, or, avoid pulling it out all of the way. I found the installation quite simple and easy, the included drill bit is of course the right size, and the mounts screw in quite easily. Note that you do NOT need to over-tighten the wings, just a simple quarter turn is all you need in order to open the wings in the back. Also, do not over-tighten the screw that goes in the middle, because that's how you damage the drywall is by over-tightening. The only negative to using this product is that it certainly will leave a 25mm/1" hole behind to patch if you ever want to undo this. While I feel that these are extremely over priced at $12 for just 4 mounts, considering the TV is worth $2,000, it isn't worth trying to save a few bucks and honestly these are the best drywall anchors I have found for this purpose.

One of the best inventions for drywall installations. After creating a bigger hole from a previous installation, this anchor did the job, and it was very easy to use. It's holding up a bracket for a 65" TV.

Never has a product promised so much but failed so completely. 1. The drill bit rarely works. If you had purchased this because you had a problem with a previous anchor, well the drill bit will shred the hole. Or if you are starting a new hole, if you don't stop just before the hole is done, you will shred the hole. 2. The torque that is require to turn the screw in the anchor is so much that it forces the anchor to turn in the drywall and shred the hole thus making the anchor useless and what you end up with is another 1 inch hole in the wall. I ended up with three 1 inch unusable holes in my drywall.

Some genius installed a towel bar right in front of a water line in my house. He cut the anchor short and put the screws in. Fast forward to now, my kids pulled on the bar pretty gently and it came off the wall. The hole was big and the pipe left very little room or options for repair. This device did the trick. It’s clear from the plastic parts that this is a hand install vs power drill. So you won’t strip the screw if you just go slow and tighten until firm. Note- when you go to expand the back, you need to push your screw driver in towards the wall so the devices goes all the way back and clears the drywall.

I ordered these to hang this heavy mirror and I will start by saying these work really well to hold the weight. however, there are a few things you should consider. 1. The first time I drilled a hole I didn’t use my stud finder and of course the first hole I drilled was right next to a stud which blocked the wings from opening. My fault obviously, but don’t make the same mistake I made and have an extra hole in the wall. 2. I ordered the yellow ones and after you place them in the hole you’re meant to use a flat head screw driver to turn it and open the wings. However, the little bits that latch onto the screwdriver are made of plastic and the first time I tried to turn it they all snapped off making it completely useless. The second time around I used a much smaller flat head and I was delicate with it and I got it to work but the plastic bits still broke meaning in the future if I want to remove it it’s going to be impossible to do so. So all I would say is I think if you opt to use these do so with the understanding that you want whatever you’re hanging to be there for some time and also that if you do ever want to remove them it’s going to be a huge pain and require a patch job. The maker of this product could fix this by making the bit you screw metal Instead of plastic. That way they could be inserted and removed without issue. I suspect doing so would cost them more money but the product would be better for it.

10 out of 5, absolutely brilliant! Really easy to install, especially with the spade bit supplied! Come available in a selection to suit different weights, so this was the one i felt most suited for myself (small shelves with a few books / bottles on). There not necessarily cheap, but worth every penny, and if you take into account delivery / next day delivery included then you really cant complain. Purchased these as a previous self drill metal plasterboard fitting had failed, and left a large hole in the wall. The plasterboard is dot and dabbed so only had a shallow cavity, meaning other cavity wall fixings are too bulky to be able to open up properly and support the weight. These got the job fixed in no time. The spade drill bit was marginally wider than the hole previously left by the fixing that had come out. Easy to drill the correct sized hole, fit the fixing and then with the mechanism so the 'wings' open to the sides and pulling flush against the back of the plasterboard, they were in place and tightened up no problem at all.
