Can this be used to see what the temperature of the sea and rivers are ?

There are a couple of issues with this thermometer that could be important to you depending on how you intend to use it and what you intend to use it for: 1) It is inherently inaccurate due to that fact that the glass thermometer (the bit that reads the temperature) moves up and down within the plastic holder (the bit that tells you what the temperature is). I didn't own it long enough to see if the temperature reading itself was accurate as I took it sea swimming and discovered issue 2... 2) It sinks, despite being sold as a floating bath thermometer (at least on the maker's website)

I would imagine so, or ask those in attendance at the pool what the temperature is kept at?

Can you test shower temperature

I have not used it in a shower, however, I have used it to gauge the temperature from a running mixer tap by holding it in the water stream for 10-20 seconds and was happy that it appeared accurate.
