Worked great after some installation effort
I bought these to put in a QNAP TS-253BE, not for a MAC, that does not matter! The 3* rating for easy to install is based on what I was installing them in. First couple of attempts to install resulted in the QNAP not booting or booting and then crashing after start up. Route I took that finally worked - 1) ensure there are not system errors and all firmware updates are applied 2) ensure you shutdown cleanly 3) install only 1 stick of ram (and do not put everything back together until you know it is all working!) 4) first boot and app start up on the QNAP after putting the 8GB stick in takes a LONG time. Go have a coffee or whatever and leave it going. 5) make sure all is running fine and all apps have been started. 6) optimize ram (it was still running at 98% utilized and dropped to almost nothing after this). 7) shutdown cleanly 8) install 2nd stick of ram and start up Still seems to take longer to start up a little slower than before, but that is likely just in my head as I'm watching and waiting for it. Best bang for the buck I could find on Amazon for this speed of RAM and they work, so highly recommended.

Gave my macbook pro mid 2012 a new lease of life !
I upgraded my old macbook pro from 8 to 16 GB . Works perfect . As I had already installed a Crucial SSD , this macbook pro is now running at par if not better than the later macbook pros which have limitations to upgrade from 8 to 16 GB ( solderd on ram) . With the extra ram , I can run several virtual machines on my macbook pro hacking and penetration classes , without worry about ram allocation for the various virtual machines . The price was also 30 % cheaper than what i had been offered by a reseller . Thank you !
