Fantastic

Bought for making sourdough as I needed a bowl that would fit inside my Brod and Taylor proofer. It’s a really good shape, being higher than it is wide. Dough comes out of it easily and the bowl is easy to clean. Seems robust and hopefully will last many years.

2024 May 5th I have had this bowl since about May 2020. I haven't used it all that many times (probably only once or twice a month for rinsing off vegetables, or to grate chocolate as the size catches most of the fly away bits). It has developed three tiny pin prick holes in the base area and looks like a couple of dark spots where it might develop a couple more. Obviously it leaks so is heading for the bin sometime soon. ******* I wanted a bowl in which to wash my fruit and vegetables and to be able to thoroughly wash it in the dishwasher, so I bought this. I had thought of a china bowl but dismissed the idea as I would likely break it in no time flat, and I thought of a small plastic washing up bowl but dismissed that as being too likely that I would then use it to wash dirty things like floor cloths and then not feel right using it to wash vegetables as I don't know whether plastic washing up bowls sanitise in a dishwasher. This bowl is the size of a small washing up bowl and plenty big enough to wash a kilogram of potatoes. It is a good weight with smooth finish. It takes up a lot of room in the dishwasher but with some strategic jiggery pokery will fit in mine on the top shelf as well as the bottom. I think it would be too big if you had a slimline dishwasher but mine is a good size so I am fine. The sticky label covers the inside bottom of the bowl and is difficult to remove all the glue. The plastic peeled off, then with a water soak the paper rubbed off with the rough side of a washing up sponge. The glue held fast through a 60 degree dishwasher cycle. I'm not worried about it but if I were I would probably give acetone a try.

Great item

I bought a whole set of these bowls from small to this large one and I have to say it makes baking a whole lot easier. They are light weight and easy to hold, they don't slip about but I tend to put a damp tea towel down on the kitchen side anyway just to make sure. They are easy to clean, sure they aren't the most expensive bowls you can buy and in time I expect they will dent a little but so what, they are functional and for the money an excellent buy. If you've never had metal mixing bowls before these are a good starting point.

Good decent size and decent quality for my baking.

I bought one each of Faringdon's 5L and 10L stainless steel mixing bowls, but it's this 5 Litre one that's the perfect size for mixing up and proving a batch of dough. Lovely and wide at 30cm, but quite shallow at 14.5cm, so it gives you lots of elbow room for mixing up the quantities. Lightweight but not flimsy, so you can happily bash away at the ingredients without worrying about denting the bowl. Washing it up is a doddle and it fits snugly into my sink; it can be put into a dishwasher too - if you can clear the space for it (it's quite a big beast!). I particularly appreciate that it's not too wide to have a teatowel slung across it when the dough's proving, but it's also shallow enough to slide onto a cleared shelf of my fridge when proving overnight. All in all one of the most useful items I've bought for my venture into breadmaking - along with Richard Bertinet's inspiring book on Dough .

Sehen nicht schlecht aus und erfüllen ihren Zweck. Innen bei der Bürstung gibt es manchmal kleine unwesentliche Schäden. Wasserflecken halten sich gut in der Struktur. Scheinen mir ein wenig weich zu sein - sind bei mir schon ganz schön verkratzt. Die Klebespuren vom Produktkleber sind aber immer noch drann. :-/

Es enorme, me encanta ,es lo que estaba buscando para amasar y hacer postres tipo mousse y batir para hacer bizcochos . a veces nos juntamos casi 20 personas y no encontraba un bol lo suficiente grande. Llegó en menos de 24 horas,increíble!

Ottima davvero, abbastanza resistente (non si deforma affatto durante il normale uso di cucina, per accumulare qualcosa, oppure per lavare verdure), ma al tempo stesso entra perfettemente in lavapiatti. Ottimo anche il prezzo, ed i tempi di consegna. Estetica ok.

La circonferenza massima è di 30 cm, mentre quella minima è di 16 cm, l'altezza misura 13 cm. La ciotola nonostante abbia uno spessore ridotto e pesi davvero poco è resistente e solida. E' ideale per montare i composti dei dolci o per impastare la pasta della pizza (provata fino a 1 Kg di farina). Ritengo sia davvero un ottimo prodotto e ne consiglio l'acquisto, visto anche il prezzo contenuto. Spedizione veloce e puntuale.
