Honeywell HO-1100RE Oscillating Tower Fan with Remote Control - Chrome

Bought two of these fans for the excellent price of just under £100 the pair - the company, comf-tech, only had six left, and today I see that a single fan is on offer on Amazon for £99, so I got a good deal there. Was given a delivery date by Amazon of August 5th, in fact the fans arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered them, so hats off to comf-tech. Fan is easy to assemble, little bit of fiddling required to get the flex to come out of the back of the base, but OK when I'd figured it out. It looks good compared with the white desk fan I was using before, and even at the lowest setting, it circulates the air beautifully. The remote control is a nice touch. The fan seems quiet in operation (my desk fan squeaked and was quite noisy), but I wouldn't use the breeze setting if I was trying to get to sleep, as the change in noise level can be annoying. The timer facility could be useful if you just want to cool the room down until you fall asleep. All in all, seems like an excellent product, and should anything go wrong, there's a 3-year warranty.

Great fan. As I had worked for another well-known manufacturer of fan's (British and expensive), I was convinced that a cheaper one would be rubbish and was about to fork-out £150+ for one of the designer fans. But after a look on Amazon I found this one and thought that at £50 it was too much of a bargain to pass up (especially as I have a normal £10 desk fan that has lasted me over 12 years now and works perfectly). It has not been regretted. The fan is as quiet as can be for a motor moving air around (i.e. not silent, but not like a vacuum cleaner). The power settings give a good range and there is a nice breeze function that instead of a solid stream of air, pulses it. The remote is also a welcome addition for a product in this price-bracket. The only down-side of the product is that beep that is produced when you press any button - not ideal when used in the bedroom whilst others are asleep (although this will soon be removed with some home modifications).

I needed a new tower fan for my top floor flat which can get rather hot during heat waves- you know those summer nights when it gets very humid and hot and sleeping can be a problem. This fan comes in a sort of metallic finish with a good firm base and stands high enough to give you a soft, medium or strong cooling breeze with or without an oscillating function . The built in timer is handy too so it powers off once your asleep. There is also a "breeze" effect which is good too for use in my lounge. Noise from the fan is within acceptable limits though I have to say its not "whisper quiet" but it is better than others I've used, the lower setting is best I find but set it to level 3 and it gets a bit intrusive. Pros. Fan works well, good "breeze" effect. Smart Design & easy to assemble. Remote control is handy if in bed or watching TV. Sleep timer easy to use and has several settings . Can be stored in a corner or cupboard when not in use. Cons. A bit expensive- but then you get what you pay for. Level 3 fan setting is a bit too noisy for my liking. Overall I am pleased with it and would recommend it.

I love this fan, it has plenty of settings (all obtainable on the remote control) which means that you can always find an appropriate setting. I particularly like the 'breeze' setting which cools you but is ideal for when you don't need the fan blasting at you 100% of the time. I'm only using the fan on it's lowest settings at the moment which means that there'll be plenty of capacity left for when the weather warms up. It's not the quietest of fans but then again not overly noisy. The only difficulty I do have with the fan is that although the batteries are new: sometimes I have to press the buttons on the remote control several times before the fan responds and this is despite the fact that nothing obstructs the path of the remote control to the fan.

Have had this fan for a few summers and pull it out when it gets hot (like the last 3 days). We had the older version of this fan and needed another for the house, so bought this version as a replacement/upgrade. It started out as a great fan, but as time has gone on it rattles so loud that we can't have it on at night or in our daughters room because it keeps everyone awake. Decent airflow and oscillating power, but the noise is unbearable! Have tried WD-40, taking apart the base and tower... after you smack it a few times, it rattles into submission for a few minutes then starts up again. We need a replacement for our replacement. I would reccemend looking for a different product if you're interested in using it at night!

This is the sturdiest and most hardworking fan that you could ever hope to own. I bought it in 2010, when I was living in London, because we had a breath of summer - it did it's job, and did it well, for the 3 weeks or so it was needed. It's lightweight - I'd frequently move it around the house, and even into the garden - and I love the remote control, plus the timer is very useful. Since then, I've moved to Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia, and I shipped this little gem - and the rest of my worldly goods - with me. For the last 3 years, it's been sitting outside on my covered balcony, and it still works like it's brand new. I can't say how impressed I am with the hardiness and effectiveness of this, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's survived 2 different climates, and a 3 month sea trip, and still - after all this time - works like new. Kudos to the manufacturers for an excellent product.

I bought this to try and cool down my 3yr old's back bedroom, which in our South facing house (also above the kitchen) gets sun all day and in the recent period of hot weather in the UK, has been 27-30 degrees as she's going to sleep. It was easy enough to assemble; the instructions are appalling but isn't complicated enough to really need them. That said, there is still 1 function that I can't figure out and no re-reading of the manual page for it, has given me any headway to understanding what it does. The unit is pretty light, comes with an integral handle-type indentation in the back of the housing for easy carrying and a small remote control which has its own place it sits, on the top of the unit. It also has a timer mode, so you can set it to auto-turn off after set periods of time...I haven't used this yet. It's fairly quiet, although having been used for a few weeks (it's on oscillating mode, pretty much all night, from 8:30pm until 8am), it's developed a slight uneven tone to the fan but I still feel that I could get to sleep with it running (I'm not sure that applies to the higher fan settings). I haven't needed to use higher than level 1 of the fan 3 settings and it still does a good job of cooling my girl's fairly small bedroom. One of the things I don't like about this is that all the controls emit a loud BEEP when touched. So, using this in a room where anybody's asleep, you run the risk of waking them when changing any of the unit's settings, even turning it off. I've no idea why they thought this was a good idea and can't find a way of disabling it. All in all, it's a decent unit albeit a little overpriced (by £10-£15). It seems to come with a 3yr guarantee, which I'll hopefully never need to use.

Received an email at 17.56 on 19th June to say that the fan had been dispatched, postie was at my door at 10.20 on 21st with a huge box! Thank you very much Amazon, City Link & Jersey Post it's been a welcome addition to my household over this very hot weekend! No problems assembling the stand, was up and running in less than 10 minutes - the fan has a very small footprint, is very effective and very quiet, added to this it's nice to have the remote and a timer facility which will both be useful on occasion. It's good to know that there's a three year guarantee, though I've owned Honeywell products before and found them to be very reliable. Definitely recommended.

Il ventilatore funziona molto bene. Facilissimo e veloce da montare, poco ingombrante, abbastanza silenzioso, buona ventilazione, ottima la rotazione del blocco, l'uso del timer e, non per ultimo, la gestione da remoto con il telecomando. Unica pecca, aveva la spina della corrente in versione tedesca (mi pare). Ho dovuto acquistare un adattatore a parte. Avrebbero dovuto specificarlo o stare attenti in fase di invio.

El producto más o menos funciona bien (aunque llevo poco tiempo con el), pero muy contenta con la compra no estoy. Primero - lo compre en Amazon España, pero en ninguna parte te dicen que en verdad lo envían desde Escocia y que tiene el enchufe inglés. He tenido que comprar un adaptador para poder enchufarlo aquí, por lo menos deberían advertir de eso antes o enviar de parte de Amazon un adaptador junto con la compra. Segundo - el producto no era nuevo, por lo menos el embalaje había sido manipulado y por dentro también el plástico que cubría el ventilador estaba cerrado con celo. Tercero - cuando lo compré valía 70 euros que ese precio me parece más o menos adecuado, pero he visto que ahora ha subido a 100 euros que me parece exagerado para lo que es porque el ventilador muy potente tampoco es. En fin, aconsejo mirar otros ventiladores antes de comprar este.

Der Ventilator funktioniert sehr gut. Man muss jedoch ein wenig aufpassen, da er etwas heiß wird, wenn er am Strom ist und nicht läuft. Deshalb sollte man ihn, wenn er mehrere Stunden nicht benutzt wird, besser vom Strom nehmen (zb. an einen Mehrfachstecker mit Einschalter einstecken)

Ventilatore molto silenzioso e abbastanza potente , dotato di telecomando, unica pecca che la presa non è europea e necessita l'acquisto di un adattatore da viaggio universale (9 euro)

Wir kaufen nur diese Marke, da wir voll zufrieden sind mit dem Ventilator. Und mit Fernbedienung und Oszillierend und und und.. Ich kann nur sagen, kauft ihn euch.
