KWANWA Digital Alarm Clock Battery Operated Powered Only With Constantly Big 1.2'' LED Time Display Small for Travel desk Wall Bedside

This is a brilliant battery-powered digital alarm clock. In some ways this is quite an ordinary bedside type alarm clock, with a reasonable display, reasonable price, and OK time-keeping. But there is one thing which makes this clock exceptional - the fact that it is powered by 4 AA batteries! My application is somewhat unusual - I play in a band, and I wanted a battery powered clock with large, easy to see digits to put on my pedal board, so that I can see how long we have been playing, and how long to go until it is time to stop (some venues have quite strict curfews imposed by the local council, so stopping on time is essential if you want to be re-booked!). There are plenty of small clocks out there which fit the bill, but most are either mains powered, or require a button to be pushed to see the display! This clock has a big, clear, easy to read display, which is ALWAYS ON! The batteries are claimed to last a year, which is amazing! I had the original batteries in for 6 months, and they seemed perfectly OK, (with perhaps a very slight dimming of the display), however, I changed them as a precaution. However I have no doubt they would have gone on for much longer! The clock has an "auto-dim" mode, which dims the display slightly from (I think) 8 PM to 8 AM. This is probably quite useful if you use this as intended, as a bedside clock, but for my purposes I don't need this. I simply set the time 8 12 hours fast or slow, so that the display is at its maximum brightness at times when I need to use it! It is small enough to fit on my pedal board, the display is always on and timekeeping seems to be reasonable, with the clock gaining about 1 minute over a 6 month period. In summary this is an averagely good bedside (or pedalboard) clock, which is made exceptional due to its battery power, always on display, and long battery life!

Bought 2 of these after a power cut. Great little clocks can see clearly from across the bedroom.Easy to set very happy with this product.

Quite dim, even on highest setting, but perfectly readable in my low light work conditions. Perfect size for corner of desk. Not small but not too big either. Nice size and keeping perfect time. Happy with it.

BRILLIANT, my wife and I are in our late 70's and our old clocks were just not visible even though they are backlit you have to press the top to view time ~ and that wakes you up. This has 3 settings for brightness we have it set on the MID setting, during the cday you can't see the display by night it's clearly visible without being too bright. Excellent lighting feature, it won't win any design awards it's a black plastic brick but it does the job we wanted it for brilliantly.

Very pleased with this clock - just what I wanted a basic clock with big numbers that does not take up much room on my bedside table.

Nice clock but the display is too dim, even on the brightest setting. Fine for rooms that are dimly lit during the day though. If this is an issue then the blue display version is better. Keeps good time.

This is a brilliant clock! Because it’s battery operated, there are no problems with wires or plug sockets. It is also very easy to see the time (even without my glasses on!) Not too bright that it lights up the bedroom at night either. Great value too!

Very clear and simple display. I just use it as clock, haven't used as alarm yet. It's very light and compact, and being battery powered it's easy to find a place to put it. I have the red display, I haven't tried it in full glaring sunlight but probably going to not be bright enough to see in those circumstances, but in a daylight room and at night it's perfectly clear with nice big numbers. Brightest screen display is using AA Alkaline, I started with rechargeables but light got too dim for daytime use in a light filled room.

Fine product. I haven't noticed any problems mentioned in past negative reviews, I think the manufacturer has changed some things. It is bright enough to see in the day, but not too bright for night. The numbers are big and easy to see. I've only had it a week, so I can't say much about battery life, but since I use rechargeable batteries I don't expect any problems. I don't find the settings difficult to change. Perfect that it doesn't have a power cord, the batteries are enough.

Good display, any one can buy without thinking. Delivery it will take almost one month but still you can wait for this product.

Je voulais pouvoir lire l'heure la nuit de mon lit. La couleur bleue est douce et non agressive. Les chiffres sont grands assez pour pouvoir les lire sans lunettes. Je ne l'utilise pas comme réveil mais comme horloge. Luminosité réglable?? je ne vois pas la différence, je laisse sur max et c'est parfait.

Ben tevreden met deze wekker. Slechts één minpuntje : zelfs in de minst heldere stand (van drie keuzemogelijkheden) is de lichtsterkte te hoog. Ik heb twee stroken blauwe folie op maat geknipt en over het scherm gekleefd. Nu is de lichtsterkte precies goed.
